Synfig Studio Anonymous 05/04/15 (Mon) 21:53:10 No.544
Anyone here ever heard of Synfig Studio? It looks like it's some brand new freeware….
Is it good or bad?
Any better recommendations? What do you think of Pencil2D?

It requires you to tween instead of draw. It's not bad, but I'm not comfortable with the lack of control so I abandoned using it. Pencil2D is good, but the windows version doesn't have a .gif exporter.

Tried it. couldn't get into it. Get some real software instead, like tvpaint or toonboom. If you insist on it being freeware, Gimp has an animation plugin that works.

As far as freeware goes, I really like PlasticAnimationPaper. I mean, it's entirely traditional style and coloring is out of the question… But it's not a bad choice overall!
