Welcome to /anon/. This board exists for discussion and planning related to the Anonymous movement. Feel free to use this board in any way you see fit to further the Anonymous agenda and to strengthen our movement.
In recent times, there has been a lot of confusion as to what Anonymous really is, and our adversaries have been relentlessly engaging in a smear campaign against us. They attempt to divide us, to shift our focus, and to neutralize us. It is therefore important to clear up a few things regarding Anonymous.
>What is Anonymous?
Anonymous (with a capital A) has several meanings. Initially, the name Anonymous was used solely to refer collectively to the anonymous users of image boards such as 4chan. That is what Anonymous is, always has been, and always will be.
However, boards such as 4chan also gave rise to a movement known as Anonymous. It is not entirely separate, but rather a different facet of the same entity. The Anonymous movement is a global movement fighting for freedom.
>Why does the Anonymous movement exist? What does Anonymous seek to accomplish and who or what are Anonymous's adversaries?
Our agenda is to free this planet. Our adversaries are federal governments, certain large corporations, and most importantly, central banks. We recognize that these entities are responsible for oppression, destruction, suffering, and death on an unfathomable scale.
We oppose these entities in a variety of ways. We are not a hacktivist group as many would have you believe; rather, hacktivism is a tool employed by some of us. We use any and all tactics that we have available.
One of our primary focuses is freedom of information. We fight censorship, gag orders, and anything and everything else that attempts to subvert freedom of information. The reason that freedom of information is so important to us is that information is knowledge and knowledge is freedom. The only reason that the people currently in power are able to maintain their power structure is that humanity as a whole lacks information. People are oblivious to the power structure in control of this planet. As humanity wakes up, the power structure is weakened. As the power structure is weakened, we draw nearer to a truly free planet.
>Anonymous used to focus on fighting against censorship, war, and government corruption. Lately, it seems that Anonymous is more focused on gay rights, feminism, immigration, and other such issues. What is going on?
Anonymous is still focused on fighting against censorship, war, federal governments, and central banks. We realize that these are among the most important issues right now and that once these issues are resolved, most if not all of the other issues this planet is facing will also be resolved or will at least be much closer to being resolved.
Because we recognize who is responsible for the problems facing this planet, and because we are committed to effectively fighting those problems and the entities responsible for them, we are seen as a very significant threat by the existing power structure of central banks, globalist corporations, and federal governments. Therefore, they attempt to distract us from the most pressing issues by introducing minor issues to our movement. They infiltrate us, pretend to be part of our movement, and promote insignificant agendas that are of little concern to us.
Such tactics have been used throughout history many times to quell dissent. Following in our adversaries' agenda to neutralize our movement, they introduce to us issues such as gay rights, feminism, and immigration reform. Whether or not these movements are legitimate is irrelevant. What matters is that there are much more pressing issues. Issues that result in death and destruction on an unfathomable scale.
This is exactly what happened to Occupy Wall Street. The movement was initially a very legitimate movement focused on opposing central banks. It was then infiltrated by federal agents and the focus was shifted to "social justice" issues such as feminism and immigration. The same thing is now happening to the Anonymous movement.
This is happening not only at real life gatherings, but also online, especially on 4chan, the birthplace of the Anonymous movement. Just as our adversaries pose as us at protests and marches promoting feminism and other such minor issues, they also pose as us online and promote things such as a battle against pedophilia. War kills countless millions of innocents. Government corruption, central banking, censorship, and other pressing issues are responsible for the suffering of billions. Pedophilia affects only a handful. Women and homosexuals and other "oppressed" groups are not being killed on a large scale because of their gender or sexual preference. Rather, all of us, all of humanity, is being oppressed by a small group of people in power. The steal our freedom and they murder billions. We have much bigger problems to be concerned with than feminism, gay rights, pedophilia, immigration, and the other issues promoted by shills both online and offline.
>Some of the most powerful entities on the planet are attempting to neutralize Anonymous. What does that mean for the Anonymous movement? Surely Anonymous will be wiped out entirely given the scope of the adversaries.
The fact that the people currently in control of this planet go to such great lengths in attempt to neutralize us shows us that they are scared of us. Their fear of us shows us that they see us as a serious threat to the status quo and the power structure. The fact that some of the most powerful entities on the planet fear us so much proves that we are powerful.
Despite the shills attempting to divert our attention to minor issues, despite the shills smearing our movement by shitposting online with phrases such as "anonymoose" and "hurr durr leejun", despite the fact that the feds and bankers are doing all that is in their power to neutralize us, they have accomplished very little. We are still alive and well. We are still powerful. Despite the shills, we remain focused on freedom of information and fighting for a free planet. And we are growing. Do not be afraid that our adversaries are going to such lengths in attempt to silence us. Rather, be encouraged. Let the fact that they go to such lengths yet fail serve as proof that we are powerful, that we are feared by the power structure, and that we will win.
>Can I join Anonymous?
No. No one "joins" Anonymous. We are leaderless, decentralized, and have no official membership. We are not an organization. We are a collective and a movement. If you fight for freedom of information, freedom for humanity, a free planet, and freedom for all life, then you are one of us. Welcome to Anonymous.
Because we are powerful, because we are a very serious threat to the status quo, there are people in power who fear us and do whatever they can to silence us. It is therefore recommended that you use a proxy (such as Tor) or a VPN when browsing and posting on this board.
Knowledge is free.
We are Anonymous.
We are legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
Expect us.
