This guy brings up a good point, and it makes for an interesting discussion.

The history of the US is steeped in Freemasonry. George Washington and thirteen other US presidents were full-fledged Freemasons, and Masonic handshakes are routinely exchanged on Capitol Hill. US currency is also covered in Masonic symbols, to include the Eye of Providence.

This thread isn't about a defunct group of German intellectuals that pop culture has transformed into the legend known as "The Illuminati." The discussion here pertains to the esoteric connections that powerful people around the world seem to have.

When taking things like Bohemian Grove and Skull and Bones into account, it's obvious that something is afoot among the affluent and well-connected. Is Freemasonry the key to understanding it all, or are we dealing with a multitude of groups and traditions?

Let's discuss the role of the occult in the consolidation of political power.

Yes. Freemasonry is just a good ol' boy club that doesn't have nearly as much power as it did. Some high-status folks still continue the traditions, but the organization is no more powerful than, say, the Catholic Church.

Free Masonry, at least the free masonry of the founding fathers, isn't the evil satanic conspiracy club people make it out to be, though it is a bit occultic. It's far different than poser "lodges" like OTO and the literal Illuminati before it, which tend to differ from the lodges around them and be excluded and chastised by them during their creation.

Good example is the layout of Washington DC streets. A lot of people say it's satanism or Moloch, but it actually isn't.

Pic related.

Jah is on top, and Jahbulon is in the center and lesser than the whole creation that is within our orb's outermost bounds through our works.

(I'm torn between feeling good about the lack of posts and lurking of this board and concerned about it's lack of posts when compared to places like Asatru and especially Baphomet)
