Discuss /art/.
This board is inevitably going to be slow, at least for a while, because the art boards on 4chan are slow already and people are only now starting to move here.
If there's any way you think this board could be improved, post it here. (i.e. enabling IDs, changing the board subtitle or name, changing the default theme, etc)
Also, post /art/ banner suggestions here. I made 2 to start out with. It should be 300x100 dimensions and less than 500kb.

Fortunately, we have a mod who seems to have a vested interest in the well being of the board so it might not be that much of a problem. Requests are not allowed and talking shit without backing it up is also not allowed. /art/ might be the first Western art community that successfully sees this to fruition and creates an atmosphere that encourages redraws from artists. Anything that has an artist draw more is a good thing.

That's the simplest way I can describe it. You can check it out for yourself and try to find a simpler way.
The sense of anonymity is going to be less on /dpd/ because I brought people I know onto it, and a lot of them know each other as well. But I am still open to more anons coming in.

Paint chat is up again. I've got to a point where I can quite comfortably leave it on for an indefinite amount of time even if it doesn't get any traffic, so I decided to do so.
Now if you ever want to draw with other people/someone, you can use this if you want.

Updated some things. Fixed some old broken features, removed useless crap, hid room admin stuff from normal users, put most of the chat commands into the settings panel, and stuff like that.
There's now a rooms list (although some rooms are hidden), and I added a way to make rooms auto-clear on given intervals. The default room canvas now clears every 5 minutes, it's pretty nice for sketching.
I can now also change the background color.
I'm concerned about the delay when entering a room, it takes around 5 seconds to load the room sometimes just in testing situations, and I dread to know how long it would take if multiple people had been drawing for several hours. I don't understand why it happens though, my internet speed isn't that slow. It seems my internet doesn't like uploading things.

I decided to remove the paint chat after all. The room load delay is much too long when someone actually starts drawing properly. My internet connection shouldn't be this slow, but I can't think of anything else that would be causing it. Even the page itself takes like 6 seconds to load right now.
One solution might be to make all rooms auto-clear every hour or every 10 minutes or something like that, but that's not what I wanted for this.

I think /art/ is relatively well known in 8chan (I've seen people link to it from many other boards including /pol/ /a/ /co/), but it seems most people would rather draw in draw threads than post here. I'm sometimes guilty of that too, it's fun to draw requests

I'm going to re-write the CSS when infinity next happens, I want to try something simpler so it mostly just replaces the BG with gray. That way hopefully less people will dislike it.
