Ok fags, we need a new proper term for "art"
Art is just a dirty word full of fucking politics.

I'm tired of argueing about objective standarts and why they exist, why something like perspective and anatomy is objective instead of subjective.

I'm tired of this BS that retards thinking their shit without fundamentals is great since some dumb rich is paying millions.

We need a new term for art that has foundamentals, is founded on solid training, has a message that is positive and it's main focus is beauty and having a smart message.

I consider this new term should have some definition along these lines:

This new word should refer to:
Anything that has a message, reflect an emotion in the observer, has a positive uplifting message (humanism), has a moral message, is grounded on the historical tradition of his craft, needs strong foundamentals, has a deep knowledge of the best of human culture and generally try to be beautifull, creating a catarsis in the viewer, improving his life and view on the world.
Generally this "stuff" should have an objective quality it should be easily qualified by people with training in the craft.

This quality could be easily measure by the amount of information, like a score points, it has.
Some of these points could be (in the case of painting):
- composition
- anatomy (if it has models)
- color theory
- narrative of the image
- use of the forms
- perspective
- lightning and values
- texture and brushwork
- historical stuff
- use of cultural references
- emotional impact on the viewer
- planes
- quality of the idea (how smart is the idea)
- line quality

Therefore, in painting it could mean stuff like abstract art also be considered beauty, but they will score less points than masterpieces of older centuries.

We need a new smart term, a meme if you will.
something catchy, if possible we will need to shill it and make it this new art concept something that catches on.

Think of a manifesto.

I would love to distance myself from the modern "art". I want to go back to a time where garbage is garbage, and shitting on a stage is considered disgusting and mentally challenged, not deep and unique, a time where dropping your gloves on a museum floor doesn't make people wonder if it's an art piece, all the while masterfully beautiful paintings are a product of a hobby and nowhere to be seen outside personal blogs.

I also hate the fact that "art" can mean anything nowadays, it has completely lost it's meaning. Sticking pizza into your asshole can be considered art now.

I don't mind abstract/minimalist art though, it can look attractive too. It's the "empty canvas so deep so meaningful" and "red triangle, that'll be $80 million dollars" bullshit that I want gone.

But when you think about how to solve this problem, it's not as easy. Even if you start to rank things based on beauty, different people would rank it differently, and nobody has the patience to rank every picture they come across nowadays when there's thousands of art pieces made every day. If you rank something based on technical quality, that's also somewhat shallow because a sketchy speedpaint can also look very beautiful if handled right.

Isn't what you are describing basically academicism?

we need a new meme word.

correct me if I'm wrong, but academicism doesn't take into acount toons and anime.

Also, this new word could apply for music and other types of art.
