Hello /art/, I'm trying to start a comic magazine, and I need artists who want to draw them. Whether you're in need of a writer, or you just want to discuss things with your fellow creators, hop on over to the thread on /co/.

Which is here:http://8ch.net/co/res/82397.html

I'm hoping to pay the artists a little something as well, if you want to participate with a writer, you'll have to talk with them in the thread about how much you're both getting paid, whether it's a 50/50, or 70/30.

You can also email me, but that'll do nothing for me, I need you guys posting and showing interest, if there is any.

Your bussines plan sounds unsafe.
The normal stuff in the world of publishing goes like this:
>Creators pitch you a comic, be just a script or thumbnails
>You buy and the creators make the final product
>Publish
>profit to you by sales and to the creators by royalties

So forget about putting artists with writers, that is not your responsability. Forget about interacting with them and just focus on buying pitches.

BTW my name suggestion: Visionary Comics

what kind of distribution you have in mind?

How much will we get paid?

Why would I forget about something that's important? They can do it themselves sure, but some might need a little pushing or might not have the right fit for they're art style they're going for, or might not know what they want to write.

Digital with physical options.

For the first issue which is a test run, not much. I'll be paying you out of pocket, and have no set payment plan. Since you'd be doing the art yourself, I'm thinking about $10-$15 per page, how does that sound?
