Use literally any camera? Buy a cheap scanner?

I don't think there's any notable camera or scanner out there for this purpose.

I used a cheap camera, and the scanner from a low end all in one laser printer.
As you can see, the scanner makes out detail much better, yet the camera picks up shade values a bit better, but smudges detail and distorts color, as seen by pic related.
So really, it depends on what you plan on doing.
