I don't pay any attention to any "deviantart stuff", I never have and never will. I just post art there and follow other peoples art and post comments on art so why would I care.

It seems they're trying to be very official and serious, putting big stories and shit ahead of the community's art.

Not sure what you mean by corporate cluster-fuck, but I think it's just the natural degeneration of websites when they get too big.

Deviant art seems to attract lots of pre-teens with poor standards for drawings, who just want some generic fan art animu stuff, leading to the front page being full of mediocre work.
