So I got an intous tablet medium size and paint tool size.

I literally know nothing about them or drawing, and the videos I can find are rather specific.

Anybody have videos on optimizing these two together or something? Would be appreciated.

if you're using a standard desktop monitor, you should force proportions in your wacom tablet settings. That's all you really need to do in terms of setting up the tablet. You can set up the intuos hotkeys later when you're more advanced.

Just make sure your software recognizes the pressure sensitivity in the tablet and you can start learning the software and learning to draw.

Do spend a good deal of time using paper, though. Erasing, accuracy, and pressure control is much easier on regular paper, so you'll want to practice with it.
