Hello /art/, /operate/ BO here.

So i decided that it'd be a good idea if multiple boards had their own thread to actively discuss this, rather than just having all discussion take place in that one /operate/ thread.

Below are the rules for this contest:

rules

1.This should ideally be an original piece.

2.The 8chan logo must be included somewhere in the piece.

3.It being 8chans 2nd birthday should also be mentioned. The "2nd" needs to be emphasized, i.e., "happy 2nd birthday" rather than just "happy birthday"

4.photoshop mashups (simply putting the logo & birthday mention on a random image) , post screencaps, and other non-drawn low effort works are unlikely to be chosen.

5.The final piece has to be posted in the /operate/ thread.

6.The deadline for the artwork is October 23rd.

optional: You may include any board of your choosing to be featured alongside your artwork.

Note: Since this will be featured on the homepage, the larger the image the better.

I actually had a link in the announcement for a while, but I removed it because the thread derailed into shitposting and /b/-tier photo spam.

Looks like it's better now, I'll probably sticky this when it's a little closer to the deadline.

Also i was considering making a thread in >>>/loomis/ , but i wasn't exactly sure if there were many core differences between it and this board. Plus it does seem a bit dead.

Other than /v/, do you know of any other boards with a large concentration of drawfags/creatives. /pone/ looks like it might be promising.

/loomis/ was made without the knowledge that this board existed, it's basically the same with more focus on improving your art. I think it has some different people than this board, so might not be a bad idea to let them know too.

Don't know about other boards. Besides /v/ the only somewhat active draw thread I know of is /furry/'s. /co/ sounds like the perfect place, but from what it seems there aren't actually a lot of non-writer creative people in there.
