Thoughts on these? I mean, i'm not completely opposed to them, it's that recently I noticed my local bookstore cleared out half the shelfspace of the already tiny art section- when there was already shelves dedicated to the shit in the front of the store already.

I guess it irks me because I draw already, you know? Why not actually give it a try instead of wasting your time on this shit?

Some people just don't have the intention to learn anything, ever.

It's just a time-killer for people too old or pretentious for videogames.

It literally says "for fun and relaxation".

Drawing requires skill and active effort to get pleasing results from, it can be the polar opposite of "fun and relaxation".

I received one of these as a gift for my birthday a couple of weeks ago since i guess my relatives see me as that guy who meditates and/or draws occasionally. The gesture is nice but i don't think i'll ever get round to doing many since i can resort to meditation or drawing for what these books supposedly offer anyway.
