Is it too good to be true?

For the utterly monsterous specs and low price, it seems like an absolute bargain, what am I missing?

Bigger isn't always better, ~A5 size is much more comfortable IMO, because you don't have to move your arms around so much. It would be useful in a Cintiq because it would be like a large sheet of paper.

$120 for such a large piece of electronics seems very fishy too, I'm not sure how they can produce them for that kind of price even though these things aren't exactly sold in massive quantities.

That said, I've heard good things about Huion tablets, but never tried one myself.

It's 160$ but is on some kind of a pre release sale for 120$

I bought a Huion GT-220 1 year ago and my only complaint is that the screen isn't evenly lit. It's brighter in a 1/2" x 6" area along the bottom, like a bulb's showing through. Performance wise it's brety gud so this should be alright too.

There's two first impression videos up on youtube now that make it look pretty good. I think I'm going to order it while it's still $40 off for people who pre-order it.

Just thought I'd pop in to tell you that the WH1409 seems to be quite good, so far.

Here's a picture of it compared to my Intuos Medium and Large, it's not a great picture and the angles might skew things a little bit but hopefully it gives you some kind of idea of the size of both the device itself and its active area compared to a few other popular tablets.

I've had no problems with it thus far, but one of the users on my board remarked about having some problems with the wireless feature ( >>>/loomis/2086 ). I haven't used this feature enough yet to comment one way or the other but I'll definitely keep you posted if I run into any problems.

Personally I'm very impressed-I'll give it a while longer before I outright "endorse" it, but functionally it's very competitive with my $500 Intuos Large. Should fears about reliability be proven baseless, I'm confident it will stand among the best traditional "desktop" style tablets available, and easily the best for the money.
