Let's talk about trolls. Specifically, I want to talk about whether or not any of you think trolls are real in either the physical sense or is some "supernatural" or "astral" sense.
Regardless of weather not you're a believer, please back up your opinions with reasons.

I consider trolls to be bad spirits, "demons" or "negative energy" if youre a christian or hippie. They cause mischief. I play drums before rituals to banish them.
You should read "Elves, Wights and Trolls". Its on amazon but im sure you could find an online copy

Let's look at the etymology. "Troll" in the Scandinavian languages could be traced back to the meaning of "Spell". Even today a "trollkarl" (literally spell-man) translates to "wizard". "Trolla" (verb) means casting a spell.
My understanding is that a troll since ancient times has meant "a curse, conjured spirit or spell". I wasn't until John Bauer came along that trolls were pictured the way they are today as physical beings.

Its been a long time since the migration period and the rise of the Norse. I'm not sure there would be very many left these days. Its likely they are only in the most remotest pockets of Europe and other areas. If there they are/were physical.

I have strange personal experiences with dark spirits when I was a teenager. They were dark and had demonic voices. Could have been trolls could have been demons (if they are not one in the same…).
