In America, at least, I think we ought to follow the "one drop" rule. People here are so mixed and so separated from their ethnic heritage that being *primarily* one thing by blood doesn't invalidate following a less biologically prominent line. You're constructing your own sense of your ethnicity, so you have a bit more flexibility.

I'm sorry for giving you feels. I don't look at this as a LARP it's always "spoken" to me since I was like four years old. But with all this talk of genetics I've wondered if can qualify to be around anybody who isn't airy-fairy wiccatru fags. I've always felt like I was white (niggers sure as fuck have treated me that way) and I've had my white features admired by my peers. that's likely to be true, I always did like the stories in mythology books partially due to the fact that the gods looked like me. I honestly identified with them and the celtic gods the best as a little kid.

Well I guess there's nothing I can really do but get a genetic test or not give a shit about individual percentages within my blood. I just really don't want to worship stick jew for a semblance of community. Hopefully I can come back with results eventually.

This is what all those hybrids who pontificate about "white enough to belong here" don't understand. It's not participation in a culture that's the issue in movements like Asatru, but preservation of the bloodline from which the culture emanates. Dilution of that source for selfish reasons of wanting to belong would completely pervert the point.

Cheers to you for grasping the significance. My advice is to embrace a pan-European identity and whichever cultural manifestations that stem from it.

Cornwall is one of the "Celtic nations", though I don't know how much filthy Saxon blood has seeped its way in since the end of Anglo-Saxon times (during which Cornwall was not part of England). Still, Cornish is a pretty cool heritage.

Im in a similar problem, ive read plenty on asatru and consider it an excellent religion. And although im a quarter Norwegian and another quarter German, im half Finnish. I know norse and Finnish paganism are close, but they arent the same. Im not ashamed of any of my ancestry, I just dont know if it would make sense to dedicate myself to asatru.

I don't know how the Cornish actually feel about the whole Celtic nationalism deal in general today but I know that there are some Cornish people that are definitely Cornish, rather than English. Fair enough, I guess - they deserve an ethnic and cultural identity like anyone does.

I think that it isn't going to matter a great deal in the formative stages, which we are in. We don't exactly have detailed denominations set up.

The fact that you are of Germanic tribes and neighboring ethnicity is definitely good enough for me.

Do you honestly believe I consider Saxon blood to be filthy or that I was just poking fun? I think you're right about going with instincts, though, and that Germanic and neighbouring descent is good. All Germanic nations have at least some Slavic or Celtic (or Finnish!) admixture, at any rate, and many Celts, Slavs and Finns will have Germanic admixture.

Well, Ireland saw a lot of Norse settlement. Dublin was indeed founded by Vikings. That said, Ireland is the part of the British isles with the highest concentration of native blood. THAT said, certain regions of Ireland might not hold true and as has been said - you're likely Germanic enough, some neighbouring admixture is fine.
