ll point out that i have interest in rodnovery, though resources on it have been a little hard to find.

point is, i belong to no strict culture or people and it's making spirituality difficult for me

don't worry man. everyone here is a mutt. that's why they're here, they're insecure about their heritage so they latch onto the "whitest" religion they can imagine. hell there's some people here that claim to be half chink.

now step back and look from an objective stand point.

are you looking for a social group, community or identity? it sounds like you are. not a problem, that's one of the biggest components of religion. I had this issue as well. when I started to grow up I realised I only had a handful of friends which is fine, but I had no community to involve myself with. I didn't have any direction. there's many other religions that have a much better community than the autistic retards here. you're not identifying with the norse pantheon, really. you just look for the "whitest" religion, and the "whitest" form of that religion and pretend to follow it.

if you're adamant to follow paganism, and you truly believe that it's the right path from you and not just a blind attempt to reach at the first faith that pops in your head, then at least choose a respectable branch that has lots of good sources on it, such as the Greco-Roman pantheons.

and seriously don't worry about being a mutt so much. respect your heritage as an American, don't bullshit some fake ethnicity and try fit in

I was involved in the local m,etal scene for a while, still cnsider myself a metalhead though I socialize with next to none. Among many were tryhard asatruer's, most commonly of the liberal breed ("muh women's rights!") and i got sick of how false they were.

i'm looking for something that connects most with me, ideally on the basis of who (metaphysical-who, not so much physical people-who) i am/what i am.

i have no shame in being a mutt, i just feel i have no specific identity beyond *Ameryan*

At the risk of starting a shitpost fest I'm going to say that I don't think race matters much. I'm not one of those sjw fags, but if someone of another race really does believe in our values and wants to venerate nature and the gods our way, I would welcome them.

I have seen very few non-whites that I think had the right mentality, but they exist.

Our ancestors were willing to accept people from other lands in the faith, after all, if they seemed worthy of it. They didn't do it often, but they did it.

Remember, Asatru is not limited to the cultures that existed back when the faith was widely practiced. Hundreds of years have passed since then, and entirely new cultures have been created, with our own homelands, cultural leaders and heroes, and ancestry. It's good that the faith is coming up in places it didn't exist before, that doesn't make it any less legitimate. America is its own homeland and culture now, it's a young one but that's fine. We should be loyal to it just as anyone should be loyal to their country and nation.

We even have a reputation in other cultures similar to the reputation the old Norsemen had back in their time–of being loud, boisterous, honest, less culturally sophisticated than others consider themselves, but with bravery bordering on stupidity and loyalty to the last, and an insistence on being independent and having a say in our leadership. I'm proud of that, and the old Asatru ancestors would be too.

Why do people think they have to be descended from scandinavians ffs. If you are english that is germanic heritage, if you are northern italian you could have lombard heritage, if you are western polish you could also have germanic heritage there.

depending on where your family is from in those specific countries (italy, poland, england and ukraine) you could very well be very germanic

north italy, you could have some germanic (lombards like the other anon said)

poland, parts of it are germanic

ukraine, you could be from a varangian area of settlement

england, well here it's highly likely you could be from an area of saxon, angle or jute colonization.

try to find out and search more about your heritage and geneologay. not only will that help with your indecision it also might make you more comfortable with the "mutt" thing

PS: honestly, so long you're full white, mutt isn't that much of a problem, at least in the USA
