/asatru/ why choose pleb tier Germanic paganism? Why not Greco-Roman or even Egyptian? Neopaganism is without strong beliefs on things and has no real ideas of rotuals and is unorganized. To say the least its very wishy washy. You need a Zoroaster to organise it. And norse people didnt achieve bearly as much as romans, Greeks, egyptians, carthaginians and Zoroastrians.

Because Asatru is the faith of our ancestors and the natural expression of the Germanic folk soul. How can one claim to be for their folk and people and simultaneously subscribe to a belief never native to their homeland - Zoroastrianism (which is monotheistic, not pagan - and is not undergoing a revival but rather has stayed intact for millennia) and Egyptian polytheism reflect the beliefs of the Persians and Egyptians respectively; whilst this means they should not be discounted nor ignored it simply means that we should be respectful of these faiths whilst not following them ourselves. We have our Gods, and our lands, not those of others.

Germanic paganism was never 'organised' on the scale of Rome or Egypt due to cultural differences, and it should be such to give it strength - but such organisation may be inspired by other religions and yet tailored to our people. There is nothing wrong with being inspired by other faiths but we must stay true to our own gods regardless.

i think you mistook this for some kind of "which is the best religion" contest. its not. its an expression of pride towards your ancestors and their faith so if you are greek, roman, persian or egyptian then please. go ahead and honour your past but let us honour ours

Shitpost, you are probably an ignorant christian or atheist who doesn't know better.

 No.5879

Because we are not Egyptians, Greeks or Persians, their religions are perfectly fine but ours is our own. Its not a contest of which religion is best.

And what exactly makes Germanic Paganism pleb-tier compared to Egyptians or Romans? Because the cultures that created them didn't make stone structures? If you can't comprehend the deeper meanings in the Germanic myths that is your own fault for not studying them thoroughly enough or understanding.

Does anyone here think today's Persians will learn to dispel the Arab lie?

They're creeping into a "secular" case right now. If Europe should rekindle its feelings for pre-Christian thinking this century, I could see Iran follow suit. If.

Slightly related, some Kurdish political factions have started pushing Zoroastrianism again.

The would be awesome. Recently I did some minor research concerning a fairy tale (shit is full of hints, it's awesome) called "Die drei Königskinder" (The king's 3 childs or something like that, fucking English). An extremely similar story can be found in One Thousand and One Nights and also in Slavic areas. I always considered One Thousand and One Nights to be an Arab thing, but turns out the roots and core are most likely Indian and Persian, both being Indo-European. So, the Arabs probably did the same thing with the stories as the Christians did with the Germanic ones.

So either the story has a common root, which I believe, or it sorta modernish. It also seems to be full of symbolism I unfortunately do not understand.
