Why is there so much hate for Asatru on other parts of 8chan, specifically /pol/? I understand the Christianity board, but I would think a religion that came from the hearts of the Germanic people would be more appealing. Lets address some of the issues they bring up

 No.594

>Asatru died thousands of years ago, how can we know anything about it?

We know enough to make a consistent framework and just because something was written down by a Christian doesnt make everything about it complete bullshit. We can cross-examine what the Christians wrote down with archaeological evidence, sources from non-Christians like Tactitus and Fadlan, and European folk-tales.

>Most Heathens are Renaissance fair faggots who think racism and homosex is bad when the ancient Germanics hated that

We know this, we are trying to get rid of these degenerates, and most of them are people from the Wiccans anyway. Wicca is not a valid religion and was made by Richard Gardner in the 50s, based off every scrap of Paganism he could find and mixed with Christian demonology, Eastern religions and other new age bullshit

>Why worship a barbarian religion with no consistent moral code?

Read the Havamal faggot

>Christianity is a uniting source for Europeans

This is a little more valid, but it ignores that once the whole of the West became Christian, people started creating differing sects of Christianity (Catharism, East Orthodox, and of course the Reformation) that resulted in genocide, wars, burnings and cultural conflicts. The 30 Years War was fought over differences on how to interpret the Bible mixed in with dynastic conflicts.

Shills, man. Just the other day I saw a thread claiming that Christianity was "the true redpill" and yet when I challenged him I soon reached the point where he was insisting that Israel has a right to exist and that race is unimportant.

When you see people flipping out over non-monotheistic religions, you know they're jewish shills. The jew - whether he be a classic jew, a christian jew, or an islamic jew - hates the idea that other gods exist or that his don't. He can somewhat tolerate other abrahamic religions, but cannot abide any religion that proposes other gods are real, or - horror! - greater than his own, or that his god does not exist at all.

Also note that they are a vocal minority on /pol/, most of which is nonreligious.

I think that one of the reasons is because among some members of the Alt Right, Asatru is seen as a kooky fringe movement (i.e. "Lol! Who would choose to be a Pagan in this day and age?!?") that will always stay fringe and never amount to anything (in spite of our growth, and the fact that the current revival only just got its bearing in the 70s.)

Thus, they view it as a further divider of traditionalist conservatives, and feel that all who are sympathetic to the aforementioned political affiliation should pile-on together under Christianity, which still has some mainstream power and cred, in order to affect the greatest change (in spite of the fact that Christianity, especially in Europe, is slowly withering away, and has been at least partially responsible for the mess that the West is in.)

I don't think there is any point in trying to win over such people. I questioned them once over how they can be anti-Semitic while practicing a former Jewish sect: the level of cognitive dissonance, denial and rationalization was hilariously depressing.

We just need to quietly grow, while they shrink; and one day they'll be looking up at us instead of down at us, wondering what the fuck happened.

In most of the threads Ive seen, its pretty obvious that theres some JIDF in the threads.
I know the aesthetic of Christianity appeals to our brothers too, especially Catholicism, but thats only because that aesthetic was hijacked from paganism. they know deep down in their hearts its the true white mans religion, they just feel they cant go back now that its been so thoroughly erased.

I'm actually glad /pol/ don't like Heiðindómr/Norse mythology. Most of them would only try and get it to fit with their view of the world & the various Nazi groups have already done so.

The fact of the matter is that they won't find anything in the Eddas to back up this ideology. The closest you'll come to find to guidelines on how to live an honourable life according to the Norse principles is in Hávamál.

/Pol/ has the potential to completely rape ZOG 24/7. That's why shills are all over /Pol/.

Promoting Odin on /Pol/ can get you called a shill, which is some serious Jew crap if I ever saw any.

>Shills hard

>Calls other people shills

Yup, that's the kosher behavior I know. They targeted /Pol/ because it scares them. If they didn't shill /Pol/ hard, they would experience a massive loss of power as every White on the entire internet converted back to their Real Gods and threw the Chosenites and their puppets out.

It would be 10x as devastating as the Third Reich to them, without accounting for the size of North America over Germany, even.

>JIDF shills the hardest at those they are scared of.
