They're not questionable at all, there is a definite and strong presence of Germanic Y-DNA in most of England. The north sea is less of a genetic barrier than the England-Wales border is. That said, I would say that it's up to the individual - either is reasonable. I think genetically, the Celt-Germanic balance is variable throughout Britain, so maybe people should consider where their ancestors are from. I think really, though, both are sensible and people should go with what "feels right". All Germanic peoples have Celtic, Slavic, Baltic and/or Finnic admixture - within reason, it's up to the individual what they choose to be the most important part of their ancestry.
