He's (unsurprisingly) quite popular here since there are many threads about him made regularly

Personally i think he's based as fuck and he's my role model in terms of how he created his family from zero right when he came out of jail (apart from the fact that he still had money from his musical career of course which must have made finding a viable redpilled pagan wife and building a self-sufficient homestead in the french countryside that much easier for him)

That being said i quite admire the man and try to watch most if not all the videos he posts

Varg should not be seen as an authority on the lore. But he has some interesting ideas, and the fact that he regularly studies and speaks about it is extremely valuable. He is a strong example to heathens and promotes a healthy practice that integrates heathen thinking into all parts of life.

And, uh, check the catalog next time.

I do not agree with him 100% but I like him. And his knowledge brings new insights in my own personal beliefs and faith.

He does have some good ideas. I never understood his idea that the myths aren't actually about the gods; just about people pretending to be the gods. I don't think he ever cited sources for his idea, but most of his ideas are pretty good.

I've stated before that my theory is that the spirits of the kings don't go to the land like ours do, but instead become part of one big spirit depending on their traits (thus, they become a part of the god)

This explains why it's expected to pray to the gods for affairs of the tribe as a whole instead of personal reasons; because they are our leaders and they have combined their experiances and knowledge into the god.

Read some into the Mystery Schools and things should become clear, the idea is not that unorthodox. I buy into it, especially since the cult of Wotan was a mystery cult itself.

Varg's a fine role model in my book.

A regular guy can do this too but it takes much longer until you've accumulated all dat dosh to build a house and shit, alternatively you can do a cabin too since they're a lot cheaper to build but can be expanded like a regular house nonetheless
