Usually they do that because they spotted some kind of error soon after publishing it.

MissASMR has done this before. She used to pretend that youtube was taking down her videos, but in another video (possibly her confessions one, I can't remember if it's in that or in a video she has removed) that she likes to take videos down after a while because it makes them special or something like that. She was taking down her videos/making them private for a long time until she took down a video after only 2-3 hours and she got flooded with comments asking about what happened. I guess she tried to go back to doing that.
