Agnosticism is a position on knowledge, not belief. It answers a different question. When asked if you have a belief in a deity, you can say yes. If you wouldn't say yes, that's atheism.

To me it's more of the fact that I don't really want to believe that there is a god or not, because really when it comes down to it, we may never be able to prove if there is one or not no matter how much science progresses. There might be many bizarre things about the universe and life that we may never have meant to know, but that's not saying we shouldn't try. I'd love to side with you guys, but to me it just doesn't seem logical. That being said, I find it more logical to not believe in a god rather to believe any of the shit Christianity says.

It's also a label I love to use so I can piss off those obnoxious "with us or against us" atheists.

"Atheist" simply specifies the lack of belief in a god. It's the neutral position; if you're not specifically or actively a theist then you're an atheist. It's not a club or anything. We don't have jackets. We don't pay dues. It's just a description of our worldview.

Based on your posts, you are an agnostic atheist, to a T. It's not "with us or against us" it's a matter of technical classification, and you're misunderstanding what "agnostic" specifies.

This. I came here when I saw it on the featured boards, not because someone invited me. I think we should at most just make people more aware the board exists, instead of trying to bring them here actively. There are plenty of people on fullchan who are atheists and I'm sure more would come here if they knew about the board.
