The act does something to your brain chemistry to encourage pair-bonding. This evolved to keep the couple together for more effective child rearing. (Sex is where babies come from.)

This brain chemistry when used properly can bring you great joy,, or you can abuse it until it becomes trivial and empty.

If you want your "love making" to become as empty as giving a high five to a strangers at a football game,, that's your choice but it is not a wise one.

Moderation and restraint have fuck all to do with morality or god, and lot to do with the quality of your life.

That's a fine short term strategy for you when you are young and attractive.. but you won't always be sexually appealing.

You are going to get old and ugly, just like everyone else.

But you'll still have physical intimacy needs and you won't have any value on the hook up scene.

But having an actual emotional bond insures you can still have intimacy.

And when you actually have that bond,, you can be aroused by more than physical appearance.

When you love someone,, they get prettier.
