>K and r strategies

There was a guy on a forum who heard about this from a Conservative youtuber, and started a topic on how Liberals followed a short term r strategy and Conservatives followed a K strategy, (which in time would lead a society to have better genes). I told him conservatives reproduce more, and he had reversed the letters. A dumb partisan argument followed, except with stupid Biology buzzwords in lieu of ordinary political terms, as both of us tried to claim "K."

Evolution is agnostic, as far as that goes. Survivors don't look back and say "I wish I would've survived this way". Survival is survival, whatever works. Sometimes you have to kill to survive, even though you may not want to. Sometimes you have to give, be humble and help others to survive even if you don't want to. Even cockroaches survive as much as we don't like them, they like each other and breed. They're a hardy species even if they survive in a way you don't agree with, either way you may not be around to say you disagree if you don't resort to cockroach-type survival of being the smaller species and hiding. That technique may not appeal to your "feels" as much but you have to be pragmatic to survive sometimes, not just dramatic.

This k/r shit sounds like a vast oversimplification. But even if it's true it doesn't fit this narrative. Liberals are more likely to be educated and irreligious, statistically. And those groups don't have many kids and when they do it's later in life.

They might have sex earlier, which I doubt. I think it's about the same age for both groups. But still that doesn't mean anything given contraception.

Also one part that's just bothering me.

This isn't even true. As you get older your chances of birth complications rise for both genders. Peak fertility is in the teenage years and is biologically the best years for a woman to get pregnant. It doesn't affect men as much but still there are higher chances for things like autism when men hit middle age.

So yeah this whole theory sounds like a fucking mess.

At least in American I don't see how in american you could honestly call either social democrats. The democrats are textbook example of corporatism, with a very thin ruse of social democracy. The republicans pretend to be classical liberals or libertarians are still still pro corporate and or oddly authoritarian in some weird ways for a party all about freedom but I guess thats mainly due to direct or indirect religious faggotry
