It's a primitive health code about skin diseases.. those poor deluded people couldn't find enough things to feel bad about in the Bible.. so they just made one up.

Meanwhile usury is directly and openly condemned throughout the Bible,, but lending with interest is now a key part of our economy.

I can't really give a shit if the old testament actually is saying masturbation is a sin or not. Trying to discern the original meaning from that ancient hebrew is the domain of the masochist.

It's such a hot button issue among the younger members of the faith though I'm surprised the big churches aren't taking it more seriously.

It's interesting because it's clearly a case of an arbitrary ruling. Masturbation is both a lot of fun and even a little beneficial for your physical and psychological health. The hysteria about it causing delinquency or blindness has long since been proven psuedo-science so they're frantically searching for the justification for such a stupid law and coming up empty. Amusing, but a bit sad for the millions of people who are actually being negatively affected by an entirely natural and harmless compulsion.

Making the natural into a sin is a good move.

In order for you to need the church,,, you must need to be redeemed,

and in order for you to swallow all this bullshit we have to indoctrinate you as early as possible.

What sins could a 12yr old have commited? Disobeying their parents,, skipping school.. and maybe if they are good kid, nothing at all.

So those religious leaders found something every single person does in secret and made it a horrible sin..

tThis was done in order to hook the young in the cycle of sin and repentance and pointless symbolic acts that feeds the church.

It doesn't matter it's not in their scripture.. Religion is plastic. It morphs into whatever it needs to be to prosper.

Well, isn't it nice we can follow those ads to hispachan? I used to torment myself over fapping too, especially when I went to church if I had fapped that morning or the day before. I felt unclean when I shook the hand of a pastor and wondered if he could tell by my chemically intoxicated demeanor what I had done. I wanted to hide from my parents too.

It's one of the first addictions we lose ourselves to, which is scary when you are taught drug and gambling addictions are bad. Then the feminazis and spinster widows at school make it worse when they tell kids to stop objectifing women and having rape fantasies. Which is why I thought it was bad to gawk at the attractive school girls, and thought I was being a gentleman by trying not to glance at their privates.

I would put a bandaid on my stomach to remind myself not to fap. I still lost the battle, but I didn't die or grow hair on my palms, which is how I decided the Christian websites were full of shit.

The closest thing I ever had to religious experience was a panic attack over jerking off being a mortal sin.

But it's all pointless.

We should have known better.. After all its a synonym for a pointless harmless activity.

That meeting at work.. a circle jerk.

But those fucking clergy had to find a way for us to feel guilty so we would need their absolution.

Yet we discharge sweat all the time and shake people's hands. We shed skin more than most people think also which is a big component of household dust. This is another reason I'd rather invest my time with sciences like medicine and softer social sciences for morality than ancient texts filled with folklore.

And if you're really worried about being unclean, get some soap. You can get a bottle of hand sanitizer for a few dollars pretty easy.

Thanks to modern medicine and plumbing, it's actually pretty damn easy to keep your hands clean. Who would have thought that so much time would have changed between when the bible was written and now that we no longer need to take advice from people who still shat in pots.
