What does /atheism/ think of the election in general?

I think we are fucked beyond all hope. The shills run everything and any outsider candidate won't be able to get things done. Trump may do a little but it probably won't be enough. Sanders will never get elected and even if he does he will have to fight congress tooth and nail for pretty much anything.

I don't agree with Bernie's more out there ideas. $15 minimum wage? Get the fuck out of here. But still he's far better than the alternatives.

I don't think he will beat hilary though in the primaries. There are plenty of idiots who are going to vote for her just because she's a woman. If she gets the democratic primary though she doesn't stand a fucking chance. Plenty of liberals and democrats fucking hate hilary and will probably opt to not vote at all.

If Sanders does manage to win the primary he's still going to face major backlash because he's literally a socialist. I'll vote for him however much that's worth. Expect a Republican president.

Currently Sanders is the only one I would vote for. I was earning 16.50 AUD an hour on minimum wage, when the Australian dollar was worth more than the US dollar when I lived there, so I believe a much higer minimum wage than $7.25 could work. I don't think he can defeat hillary, because Feminists and even the older moderate women have old fashioned persecution complexes about a glass ceiling and discrimination. Identity politics mean a broad swath of women, girls, and minorities will vote for her, so they can show men that they can change history. Now Clinton can be the one to cheat on her husband.

The way he get have a voice for who is on the ballet in the United States is join one of two parties and vote in the primaries.

There should be more than two people contending for the nomination at this point..

it sucks. Banning a scholar and respected candidate who campaigned for ending corruption in campaigns (Larry Lessig) from the debates just shows how fucking rigged the pseudo-democracy is. I would have voted for him.

I'm a libertarian and I think Bernie is the only honest candidate left, I might as well vote for him but I'm not too optimistic that he will pass the media and corporate-owned Hitlary in popularity. The Republican side is beyond hope. I hate to say this but that fucking clown Trump is the best they've got.
