I know this board is small, but it would be pretty cool if we did some kind of charity thing with /christian/. It would improve our reputation a little bit.

Let them have their hugbox. They only want to talk about Christianity there. We're (in part by necessity) more open as far as subject matter. Don't mistake /atheism/'s core concept with /christian/'s.

I welcome the Christians.

I want to ask them so many questions.

Why didn't Christ tell the centurion go free his slave after he was healed?

and Why didn't Jesus ask who the woman was with when she was dragged before him for being caught in adultery>

Jesus is perfect? Why didn't he condemn slavery and gender double standards when it was right in front of him?

Bring all the Christians here,,

I've read the Bible and I have questions.

Thank you for the centurion question, I will use that to great posterity.

No thanks, you can do your charity thing on your own. And you don't have to appeal to people from 1000 years ago in /christian/. We don't need their approval, they can keep spamming fedoras every time they want too because they are too butthurt to hear different opinions.

I feel like I'm traveling back in time on christian when I see all the retards claiming that they were possessed by demons or that Satan lives in atheists controlling them and making them evil. And the holy water shit, cross wearers… just Jesus Christ.

Just donate to charities on your own if you feel like doing good to this world. OR better yet, personally hand money to people you don't suspect that the will drink the money.

That story about Jesus and the adulterer is fake.

centurion/slave

because we don't care, all human economic systems and human relations is evil

the church did work against 18th century american slvery becasue of the racial and extremely harsh nature of that slavery, much of historical slavery was not like that with slaves often reciving payment and being able to buy their way out of slvery and having work that was much nice than picking cotton all day

we are not here to tear down or supplant economic or political systems of the world.

think back to the dr who episode of the oods, when that companion was getting upset over ood slavery and Dr who said - really, you're upset about that - who do you think is making your clothing now? Do you think 3rd world factories are much different from slave labor?

>and Why didn't Jesus ask who the woman was with when she was dragged before him for being caught in adultery>

because he didn't have to know that to forgive her and refuse to condmen her

it's intersting you choose this story where he saved a woman from getting stoned as a point of christian but I suppose when someone has made a decision to disbelieve and point out flaws, they really will find anything

>Do you think 3rd world factories are much different from slave labor?
No, but this isn't the point. Jesus had the centurion right in front of him and had massive influence over his thoughts at the time. If I was in a position like that with the owner of Foxconn, I would absolutely take advantage of it, making me morally superior to Jesus.

But isn't it fun pretending the bible is true, so we can laugh at how corruptible the savior of mankind was?
