Disregarding all the supernatural bullshit, Christianity in moral terms likes to keep its hosts away from provocation, literally a hugbox, be it violence or sex. Of course we realized repression of these can create a beast in itself. Christians pretty much have a monopoly on sexual degeneracy if you look at internet statistics and very competitive when it comes to number of people killed throughout history. But in time, you couldn't separate Christianity from Paganism because it strayed far from its naive roots. We've realized the words of the bible are like true anarchy, true communism, etc, a pipe dream, a falsehood started from naivety.

But sex and sexual imagery are provocative. Some religions like to stress not being provocative yet at the same time like to provoke others into thinking certain things should provoke you as it provokes them because they tend to think their way is the only way to react or believe. In case they haven't figured it out, life is provocative and they think they can escape it and live in a hugbox, not realizing they provoke others. If you notice, they like to preach (yell) by being extra happy or extra angry to be provocative. But all in all, it really is a freakshow. When I was a christian, I never found a church where I thought it was mostly normal, well-balanced people.
