Has anyone noticed the surge of christfags on the various chans lately? even in 2012 most people were still atheist despite fedora memes

All the normie kids and old people found chans. The zealots probably saw this was the new cool hangout, only 10 years too late, so they're hanging out here to try to convert people.

But if anything, people are less religious now because truth defeats mythology and freedom is greater than ideological imprisonment.

My theory is being anti-atheist is the new safe way to be edgy and never get shit for it on chans. These "christians" know shit about the bible. Far less than atheists do. But it's not hard to call yourself christian.

>lel kill all the heathens XD

>muh christian values

>My god >>>> your god

The chanosphere is a hotbed for contrarianism and white male college students, residing in western countries, who make up most of the userbase are strongly inclined to be irreligious.

So, it's a easy way to be the most contrarian among the contrarians.

Most of these people don't even believe theological concepts like transsubstantiation.

It's become hip and contrarian to be a christian on the internet and all these people want to look like the cool kids. It might also be a result of people falsely trying to pin SJWism on atheism.

Either way, these people know very little of what they talk about and probably wouldn't know what to do if the supernatural really did exist.

Oh I wish bro. If that were the case religion would be ridiculed out of existence but instead we have enforced religious tolerance. Globally religion is still on the rise. And in the West people are as dogmatic about bullshit as ever like zealously defending other people's religion.

Because they think they'll get virgins, a reward for being convinced to believe, nirvana, and all kinds of shit for doing as told. Many do it out of fear of a god doing bad things to them for not being convinced, many think they'll get positive stuff when they die, they don't always truly believe it and I don't think I've met a religious person who didn't doubt the bullshit.

Maybe christians have to spend more time trying figure out the contradictions of their holy book than atheists who does not have to reinterpret 1 book too fit with new evidence and values.

And yes, some people mistakenly lump atheists together with SJWs and muslims. It is important to counter-act such beliefs.
