>tfw a nihilist atheist in bible college

>tfw a major player at my college, SRC, etc

>told daily that god flows through me

>people kiss up to me by telling me how much they pray/fast

>Spend most of my time playing Dark Arisen and going to the gym

I feel guilty, but should I?

I am only here so I can go and build houses in foreign countries and it's the easiest way to do it…but I feel like I'm manipulating them.

How did you end up at a bible college? Man that's a gift. If I were in your place I would live free and develop a massive superiority complex over my peers. I'd be too cool to make friends with the goody2shoes, skip classes, and would argue with my professors every time they tried to push bullshit 'cas what are grades worth when you're from a bible institute? Your employers already think you're uneducated, but "highly moldable."

How will you earn money some day? How will you not get depressed doing this for decades?

S'basically what I do and three small stories of experience here:

>I've fucked 4 girls here already. They're really easy and "totally the ass/mouth doesn't count" but can't fathom I don't want to marry them afterwoulds.

>I've lost marks for talking 'from my head' rather than 'my heart' because I came to a metaphorical understanding of Daniel as opposed to it being a literal story and wrote an essay on how the Ramases II was the hero of exodus and Moses fucked everyone over. They said it was an eloquent essay but "flawed due to it reading like a none-theist"

>I've made good friends who then start avoiding vidya/rpgs/movies and what not because they are R-Rated.

Ended up here because I wanted to find a way I could build homes and what not in other countries and this is the most effective way. I've spent time in africa, papas etc.

I don't intend to, I'm just waiting to die at this point I've achieved everything I want to achieve.

Good on you. I've been to around 30 countries (Americas, Asia and Oceana) and seriously considered joining peace corps, and I see why some like adventure, cultivating an international viewpoint, and not blindly favorite games your in-group. But I've decided the third world is too shit, and I don't want to wind up sick from DDT or tropical diseases with poor savings and medical options. I want to be more international, but I need to live in non-shit countries or it's not worth staying abroad.

Read again, I'm just waiting to die and I'm doing charity work until then. I don't plan on achieving anything besides doing what little I can do.

>>14364

It's worth it and all at once it isn't.

I've had countries where I've thrown up and boiled to death whilst the men who raped their daughter claim that 'aids is made up' by us and that he should be able to do so because we are 'killing his culture' by fixing their homes and schools whilst at the same time demanding food that we simply do not have.

But then you meet a kid who is going to go to school and try and become an engineer because he wants to do better than his father, etc.

Read into nihilism.

The very fact that I am is the reason I want to.

Hope this helps

"Ugh, can you believe this motherfucking shit? This nigga don't believe in the inerrant nature of the Holy Bible OR Genesis as literal history. I bet you like the Wellhausen Hypothesis too. Thomas Jefferson-ass nigga. I'm not living in this fucking house."

I highly doubt this will happen to you. Regardless of your beliefs, the people you build homes will appreciate it, and the people you build them with would consider it a good deed in and of itself. Enjoy.

Not the issue. See the organisation that wants to hire me is christian founded and it is a requirement to follow the faith. So too do any other prospective jobs that work freely, working for the UN and others requires a lot of other paper work + requirements.

It's retarded to think people wouldn't live in them because I'm not christian, that's not the issue, it's career based.

Have you considered lying?

>inb4 its bad

Who cares, morality doesn't exist. If you would feel bad about lying for your own reasons then I guess you have your answer OP.

5049aa No.14446

>>14444

It is. Especially when it negatively influences societies. All these creationists deliberately lying about science and related matters? It's pretty damn shitty.

78a78a No.14450

>>14444

It's disingenuous to say morality doesn't exist. I'd say the large majority of us atheists have some sort of moral code and probably largely not much different than the average public. You will have a moral code, it may be very relative to the situation, a code of doing what you need to to survive, a sort of Machiavellian code, but it's still considered a moral code. These days, morality seems synonymous with "kindness" but are two different things.

That said, I'd agree. If lying will in the end make him better and he thinks it'll help society, I think it's good.

>>14446

They probably think their lying or deceiving may be creating a greater good but if you ask me, people holding onto fantasy and making policies around it aren't in the greater good.

775425 No.14452

>>14446

Ok. You're entitled to your opinion. I believe in this specific case, lying for self gain is not "bad". In some other cases, I wouldn't think it either. What is a "negative" influence in society is also pretty subjective. Christians who legitimately believe that stuff aren't lying, they are just wrong.

>>14450

>You will have a moral code, it may be very relative to the situation, a code of doing what you need to to survive, a sort of Machiavellian code, but it's still considered a moral code.

Yeah, this is what I mean. I guess I should have said "Objective morality doesn't exist and it isn't a force of nature which actively punishes and rewards individuals based on clearly delineated criteria which are consistently enforced." This is why I told OP is HE feels bad then he obviously shouldn't do it. Its the only opinion that really matters in this case I would think.
