@OP, remember the part where Israel creates a crop that can grow in the desert, turning Israel into a farmer's paradise (and apparently only Israel had the tech) and then Israel shoot down around 10,000 rockets from their enemies without a single one person dying? I should read the book completely for giggles.

Thirded, reading it intensely as a fundy and being intellectually honest with myself turned me back into an atheist after more than 20 years of believing in Jesus as my saviour.
