They tried to make atheism about their social justice bullshit when it's just about the disbelief in deities. And unlike religion where morals can be derived from some skywizard's book atheism has no such directive. To be a follower of a religion one's adherence can be measured by how closely they follow the tenants. But the only thing one needs to do to be an atheist is not believe in a deity. Atheism+ however requires the following of tenants like a religion.

One of the best aspects of atheism is the ease by which one can reject morality. Atheist+ dogmatists tried to prop up their half baked morality as necessary to atheism, people easily realized this was bullshit and thus atheism+ failed.

Also the hypocrisy of atheism+ with their irrational fear of critiquing Islam while attacking Christianity when both are practically the same desert cult nonsense.
