And yeah this all could be at least on the upper echelon (legit media, policy think tanks, etc) level an excuse for cowardice. I'm pretty sure SJWs actually are so deluded to believe Islam is deserving of "tolerance" seeing how emotionally invested they get over it. They can't all be acting.
Though for the higher ups this tip toeing around Islam probably goes even deeper than fear of them blowing themselves up in our faces. Because we could've just regulated immigration. A blatant no Muslims allowed in would've worked, we're already trying to get rid of the other two desert cults we don't need the third.
And the SJWs of now can just as easily turn Hitlerite or Stalinist or whatever with the right kind of media manipulation and be just as emotionally invested. Look at how Germany flipped from Nazi to SJW in a generation or two. These people are sheeple not to sound like Alex Jones or any of those conspiracy retards, Asch conformity and all that are legit phenomenon.
Anyway we should've never become so dependent on oil especially when there are so many alternatives. I think that's the core problem with all this really. We can't close off the borders to them because that would close us off to their oil and we need it for society to run. And even if we switch to hydrogen fuel cells, full electric, thorium or whatever now we're still stuck with them.
