New to this board and want to know the rules? Have a question for atheists? Then you should probably read the FAQ (Updated: 3/19/15). It's not necessary, but don't be surprised if people ignore you if you don't elaborate further on a question already answered here, or the moderator does something you didn't expect.

418001 No.4371

Christian here, I have a question for atheists.

So the way I became a christian is because I have a demon, it behaves like a demon 24/7/365 consistently and never ceasing to make sense in this respect and never stopping for a moment the whole day, the whole week, the whole year. Even when on pills I still have a demon and a consistent one. No matter how drugged I am I still have a demon with the same intensity. My dick is limp with drugs and still have a demon. I cannot feel pleasure nor joy, so the reason for hallucinations is there no longer (dopamine) but still have a demon. Even when dreaming I still have a demon that influences my dreams and tempts me trough them. I had never been a christian before.

So, according to you, I have the most strange and persistent mental illness known to man.

The heaviest treatment doesn't even make it flinch.

But it is totally not a demon, it is a mental illness. One that asks me to serve satan and tries to cheat me of my soul by means of artifices constantly. Also it constantly tries to bargain its way towards my soul.

That's a very strange codition.

Yeah nah, you're cunts.

Surely, being an illness, and an isolated one at that, treatment will do something.

Oh w8, it didn't

That was a question?

OP it's seams that you believe in the God of the gaps. You can't explain something, so you attribute it to the supernatural without proof. Also, it's common for crazy people to believe that they're not crazy.

418001 No.4378

>>4375

Hallucinations that are 100% legit caused by dopamine go away when there's no dopamine available.

So it seems you have scientific knowledge unavailable to any other doctor and you're about to share it here, am I correct?

Because after much trying out bullshitting atheist remedies on me, it was determined it was a dopaminical chemical imbalance -and it certainly cannot be anything else, since every possiblity has been tested-. But after dealing with dopamine with heavy drugging the hallucination stays there.

This is not how sicence work, nor how hallucinations caused by dopamine work.

Your turn to explain.

>oh, but the disease is magical, you see, a pink unicorn of science creates it! There is no longer a chemical imbalance, which was the only possible left thing to do it, so…

And of course:

>God of the Gaps, the illness itself behaves like a demon and offers demonic things, evidencing a God because it is a gap.

Yes, you're crazy. Want to prove it? Try getting an exorcism. If it works, good for you. If it doesn't (which unfortunately it won't), you'll know what you have isn't a demon and can stop raving at people online.

Just because you haven been cured doesn't mean you don't have an illness. It seams like you're referencing the dopamine hypothesis of schizophrenia, which you obviously have very little understanding of. You need to understand that hallucinations can be caused by things other than dopamine. Also, the dopamine hypothesis of schizophrenia is just that, a hypothesis not a fact. Dopamine overabundance is not a complete explanation for schizophrenia, psychosis or hallucinations.

I having a hard time understanding what you saying half the time. Try to be clearer.

Gonna digress here, what's up with all the fucking religion fags coming in here lately and asking stupid questions? I don't mind discussion, but it's been like:

>Let me ask you a question

>You can't even explain
>checkmate atheists

Can we just have a single thread where these fucks can ask us things?

ab52b1 No.4391

Just to get this out of the way, your writing skills suck ass. Repeating "still have a demon" isn't going to make anyone believe it's a demon any more than the first time you've mentioned it.

Second of all, what you describe seems consistent with schizophrenia. Plenty of people claim to hear voices in their head telling them to do things. Sometimes they even attribute the source to a real thing like a dog.

Treatment of this has varied in success. some are able to be cured and some aren't. Similarly some people have really bad cases and some have such relatively minor cases that no one would know there was anything wrong.

The problem here is that when it comes to mental illnesses, there's a lot of things we simply don't know yet. Curing mental illnesses is probably tougher in a lot of ways than curing physical ones.

That being said, I still find no good reason to assume it's really a demon and not just your paranoia. The fact that people have consistent hallucinations in the past about a variety of things and still do today makes it seem more like you simply chose demon and rolled with it.

You mentioned that you got drugs for this problem. What was the official diagnosis then?

>Christian here, I have a question for atheists.

Do you really? Is it a question born of an inquisitive mind in search of information? Or is it just another goading bit of snark of the kind that would get an atheist banned from /christian/? Let's see if my name is Nostradamus and I wind up being right.

>So the way I became a christian is because I have a demon

Super convenient for you how you don't have any kind of description which would lend credibility to this claim of yours. Hey, I've got an invisible snake on my head that bites people and gives them cancer if they don't give me lots of money, and it gives them super cancer if they express any sort of skepticism about its existence. How do you like that? Don't believe me? Well, you better quit persecuting my religious beliefs, you stupid communist unbeliever! Unverifiable claims are awesome, I can say whatever the fuck I want and you aren't allowed to show visible signs of losing respect for me no matter what kind of ridiculous superstitious horseshit I spout.

>I had never been a christian before.

Apologists like to do this thing where they pretend to be former atheists. It doesn't get more convincing when it gets repeated yet again. It wouldn't convince you to be an Atheist if I told you that I used to be a Christian, so why would you expect me to be turned by the opposite claim from you? I guess this is just another way in which you expect to receive the benefits of special pleading.

>So, according to you, I have the most strange and persistent mental illness known to man.

Well look at that, I guess my name really is motherfucking Nostradamus. Amazing how I could predict the fucking future like that, eh?

>The heaviest treatment doesn't even make it flinch.

>But it is totally not a demon, it is a mental illness.

This smacks heavily of a victim mentality. You are starting to sound like tumblrettes who go on about fat shaming and fat acceptance, trying to make claims about obesity not actually being unhealthy and that other people are just big mean bigots who hate the fat race and don't understand the real facts they got from their gender studies classes. Give me a fucking break with this shit.

>Yeah nah, you're cunts.

Remember when you said you had a question for us? When were you going to ask it, exactly? Are you aware that you never included so much as a single question mark in your entire post which you introduced as being one which would contain a question?

No? None of that rings a bell for you? Must be that demon tap-dancing in your brain. Fuck Occam's Razor, this is obviously the work of an extradimensional being whose only purpose for existence is to convince you not to submit to an unprovable deity whose test of your worthiness is your credulity in the face of unverifiable claims.

Why do I let this shit piss me off, again?

Oh right, it's because you fucks would instantly ban someone from your precious safe spaces the moment they came anywhere near enacting the intellectual defecation you just dumped on us. What a bunch of fucking hypocrites you are.

Anyway, your word is just that. I have no reason to take it seriously. I might as well make up a story about how aliens abducted and raped me, and it will have just as much merit as your story

>Yeah nah, you're cunts.

>you don't have any kind of description which would lend credibility to this claim of yours.

Such as?

Do I describe sex?

It's like a menthol blowjob but you never cum, feels cold and wet and very intense, the feeling is that of constant orgasm and an extended orgasm at that, can last for hours.

What else? You do realize it is a fucking invisible thing inside you? Are you trolling?

What is exactly this descpription I can make of some being that resides inside me, whose real thoughts I cannot see, that keeps lying and machinating?

In fact I believe I have described it very well, but you are more concerned with making me look bad at any cost than actually presenting your case.

>Do I describe sex?

Actually, I would recommend it. It's one way to get better at detail writing, and given how bad you are at that, I think you need some practice.

>It's like a menthol blowjob but you never cum, feels cold and wet and very intense, the feeling is that of constant orgasm and an extended orgasm at that, can last for hours.

There's a decent start. Now you just need to introduce the sexy nurse who will administer her loving care to your medical problem.

Or, if you would prefer, you can attempt to draw out this demon only to find out that it is a succubus who craves your cock and teases you constantly to provoke you into reaming her out of frustration.

See, we're already off to a good start. Now go learn how to illustrate and you can deliver the rest of your hentai-in-the-works to us. Don't be shy, now.

Okay, you barely even describe what this demon is, we tell you you have schizo, and you want further proof. So if you want further proof, can you at least elaborate further?

>Why am I being given antipsichotics blidnly forcecfully if they aren't a valid medication?
You're not, it's a hypothesis. It's a guess based off of information, but it still hasn't been completely confirmed yet.

Placebo effects don't last so his symptoms will return.

off course, the religious people will just blame him for it not lasting and say his sin let the demons back in.

Ever notice it's impossible not sin.

Religion is the best thought out con game in the history of mankind.

815e6d No.4438

Is this guy for real? Does any schizo actually come to an atheist board, one of the few popular places that most of us are likely to tell them the truth that they are hallucinating still? Do you want reassurance it's not a demon?

Medical science may not have a solution for you, but it sure does remain properly diagnosed. You can be safe in knowing it's still all in your mind at least.

no amount of ignorance can justify a belief. when you don't know the natural causes you must refrain from emitting a supernatural cause, because it has yet to be proven.
