>>5019So basically it is what I expected? A voluntary list that you can choose to enable yourself, without anyone forcing you to do so. A "block messages/comments from this person" feature that is not made by twitter but still is not spyware.
Oh my fucking god. Is this it's all about? Are you kidding me? This is the thing that will get in legal trouble and everyone talks about now? Absolutely ridiculous.
Don't get me wrong, I am all for free speech and no censoring/self censoring, but this is just silly. It's like adblock, but replacing ads with comments from people. And it's voluntary, how the fucking hell does this cause legal trouble? It just doesn't make sens, plenty of websites if not most of them, even fucking e-mails have features that will block how many hundreds of persons you want. If you choose to do so, you can block messages from most people on most forums and websites. So what makes this special?
If stupid people want to shield themselves from becoming rational, why not let them? If they only want to hear opinions from radical feminists, why not let them? If this causes legal trouble then why not also ban block features from all the other websites in the world? It's a very stupid thing to block people who you don't like on twitter, but so it is on any other website then. What makes twitter so special? Why is the police involved in this?
WHY
WHY
WHY
It's a block feature that is absolutely voluntary that exists in most websites, but this one gets attention from the police? Am I getting block bot wrong? I don't use fucking twitter or never read about block bot, please do correct me if I am getting the wrong idea.
