I made it a hobby to break into every room, storage area, and toilet of my high-school during the weekends. I had two rooms left to do before I got busted.
The Principal wasn't happy that the school's insurance rates became impossible to pay. Breaking into the canteen was obviously a major win, and I took off with what must've been about $1000 worth of stock. The Maths department storeroom was literally a Mission Impossible feat to get into–abseiling off buildings and using cutting tools 20 metres up.
My reign of terror came to an end when the slowest guy in my crew got tackled by a security guard. He was underage, and I was over, but my coming forward and admitting being the Leader got everyone's punishment in court greatly reduced. Instead of ~3 years in jail, I got $20 court costs, 3 years probation that became 2 years and 3 months community service (with a fucking Fundie Christian group :-F). The two young guys got 6 months of community service and no record recorded. It also helps that we all had a straight story of only being responsible for 3 break-ins that had the same MO, when in actuality I was responsible for all ~20. (Not all 20 B&Es were 'detectable' though. Usually tried to packing-tape a window open and tried to leave no obvious trace.)
