Saw another thread about some cunt asking for TAFE advice so I thought I'd do the same. Graduated this year and currently working at maccas. ATAR is horrendous at 39.90, I'm not a shitcunt I just didn't try as hard as a could, English was fucked (seriously whys that compulsory, I wish I had the choice between a compulsory maths, English or science subject, not just thrown into the deep end of English fuckery)
Any who, continuing on. The one subject it did well in was IT Multimedia. Scored 96% in my trial mark, but got fucked in the HSC because a kid in my class got a band 1, so that scaled everyone down, and I couldn't beat the assessment mark in the exams so that was scaled down too, so I ended up topping exams but only coming out with 78/100 and assessment mark couldn't drag me up because they scale that up/down to the highest exam mark.. Confusing fuckery I know.
Anyway. Uni isn't really an option and I'm not sure if it's for me anyway. Thinking of doing an IT related TAFE course, brother did it and got a job web developing for this caravan place before he even finished his course.
Here's what I'm looking at, opinions on these courses and where it could take me would be appreciated. I hate going into things without knowing or a guarantee of where it can lead me, which is also why uni might not be for me
>do bachelor of (insert thing)
>still can't get job
kind of thing
C3 information digital media and technology (multimedia)
" " (web technologies)
Dip Website Development
C4 Web-based technologies (design and development)
* C4 information technology (this title seems very broad, some insight into this would be good)
* C3 computer systems equipment (interesting but only c3?)
C4 networking
* Dip networking
* = particularly interested in
There's a few I missed… But that's the gist of the courses in that area I'm interested in, just a general insight into what those courses can do for me, if it's worth it and what's involved, would they put you through placement?
One more thing.. Colleges any good? Hear they're nothing but a scam, a whole heap of dept and your qualification is not nationally recognised.
Cheers cunts.
