Oh holy fuck I created this thread and it was posted in a second or two. Then I tried to sticky it - some quick background info: using mod tools results in a 404 nearly all the time. The action is carried out but the page loads a 404 error. I stickied this thread and…it reloaded the page and didn't 404, just like it should.

The site is finally fucking working properly. Maybe 8ch itself will now be saved.

I left cuckchan when posts were being censored and will never return. Hopefully this fix is permanent and things will improve now that stupid Josh furry pedophile fuck is gone

Finally being able to see what fucking threads are active and have recent posts is very pleasing. I was getting ready to just fuck off out of this board if it wasn't fixed.

From what I can tell, practically all the small boards on 8chan suffered because of that particular problem. People would check the front page of a board and find it hadn't changed for hours or days, so they'd assume no one else was using the board and thus abandoned it. iirc the biggest 8 or so boards are on separate servers so they weren't as badly affected by the problem.

Things are still a bit iffy for 8ch, with user counts on all boards being lower than they were even just a few months ago, but with most of the technical problems now out of the way I do genuinely feel a bit of hope for this site for the first time in a long time. Maybe things will be okay after all.

Yeah. One of the big issues was trying to keep up with discussions you were having, not knowing if anyone had replied to what you were saying or any more discussion had taken place until you opened up the thread. For big boards that must have been even more of a headache.

Glad it's over now though. By the way you seem pretty fucking smart man, I'm glad you made this board as you seem to have a fairly hands off moderation policy for everyone but spammers.

It looks like user count dropped and then froze since the board stats stopped being updated. The "Latest headlines" from /n/ on the front page are also frozen.
