As for gym @ home, it's a good and cheap way to get started, I considered it but the gym I go charges $399 per year and it has everything, so I said fuck it and signed up (this is back in November when I stopped drinking). As for weight, I aim for 8-12 reps, 3 sets and just lift as heavy as I can or what I feel I can do that day. In the past I'd mix it up, do 8-12 reps x 3 sets for 3-4 months and then switch to 4-5 reps x 5 sets and lift as heavy as I can.

For example, today I just went a bit light because I didn't even really wanna be there, so instead of not going, I agreed I would go and just have an easy lifting session. Last week was much better and I was lifting heavy and had a lot of energy so I didn't need to compromise on anything, I wanted to be there all last week.

As for motivation? I dunno, it helps me keep sane in what is an increasingly insane world and it keeps me from drinking because I know if I drink, I won't go to the gym and around October last year, I was just plain sick of waking up a couple times a week with a hangover and feeling like shit, I swear it is worse once you're in your 30s too. I wasn't an alcho, it was more out of boredom.

It'd be insane to choose to study law now, sure, but the field is nevertheless flooded, the majority of law grads now cannot possibly become lawyers because the jobs simply aren't there for them.

You're trying to make this some kind of moral story but all it really comes down to is that law is a shit field.

Also it is viable to shift into law later on, people do it (or did it before law went to shit). If you're coming from another profession where there's a crossover and you work in the right area of law you can do quite well, accounting for instance.

Of course I'm talking about Australia and the story is from the US. In the US it's easier for junior lawyers to work, they don't have the rules about having to work supervised for 2 years that we have, but there may be other factors at play.

I'm six years out of highschool at this point and my ability to write intelligibly, reflect on complex/technical texts and even form thoughts that are unique to me (i.e not mental parroting of phrases I've heard) has gone to shit.

from what i've read, these entry level detectors are more a toy than a serious detector.

i've going on a one day gold prospecting tour near the end of this month and then i'll make a decision - i've been reading about this stuff every day, prob gonna buy the minelab sdc 2300, seems good for finding the smaller 1g nuggets that the larger ones sometimes miss.

the gpz7000 is $9500, way too much, but the sdc 2300 is $3850.

I don't seriously expect to get rich from this, but seems like a fun way to spend neet time and im sick of sitting at home doing nothing, imma just go and camp and try doing this for a week or 2 at a time, come home for a week, then go back for another week or 2.

I go to a disability provider, not the mainstream ones, they are actually pretty nice for the most part despite a few issues i've had with em and a few arguments, but there is only so much they can do and i think a lot of em are jaded too.

I talk to my case worker sometimes and one time she was telling me the average time a person stays in that industry is 18 months due to burn out and they churn through heaps of people. She looks like she's at that point too sometimes, nice girl, but doesn't really understand a lot of my problems are external and there is nothing I can do about them.

If it was just anxiety and depression, I think I could manage a job, but there is no point to even working a full time job when it will change the scenary but no the problem.
