If it's anxiety you can use Valium (Diazepam) when you need to take the edge off everything if you are trying to get to sleep. It's have a long wait of up to two weeks of taking it to begin to have an effect. It just depends on the particular difficulties you are experiencing, as I only use Valium when I need to sleep and I am extremely anxious but cannot calm myself down most likely have something significant on the next day. I feel that you need some strategy to cope with this because the current strategy isn't working and you recognise this. When all my coping strategies failed I had a meltdown and saw a psychologist who helped me help myself to get back on track.

I have made some progress with my malfunctioning PC today neets. It wasn't letting me install windows without a bsod in the final stages. The USB I am using to install windows from has both home and professional versions on it. I only have a product key for home but since that wouldn't install I decided to see if I could install the pro version. And it did. No bsod.

It keeps asking for my product key and won't accept the home one, and it won't let me change a lot of settings until I activate it. But it is letting me do basic things.

I have plugged in my old router and set up a secure WiFi connection so if it shits its pants again I can use my NBN connection on my phone instead of paying Telstra for data. Also I have transferred documents I need from my PC to my phone.

So things are looking better. I can't keep using this version of windows because of the activation issues. But maybe I will be able to reinstall windows home now. I think I will try installing the 32 bit version. I was always trying the 64 bit version before.

Disconnect your internet, do over the phone activation. Tell them you have used the key on an old computer but now installed Linux on it. You want to use your windows key on this computer only (((1 key per computer code). 8/10 times they will give you the code that activates it forever as an authentic copy of Windows. I first arrived in Australia in the week leading up to Easter and the first I saw of my new classmates was the flash of yellow and blue through the school fence at the end of my road. Those were uniforms, yellow polo shorts and dark blue shorts; the students all wore uniforms and they all wore shoes to school as well. It was thrilling to see. On my first day in an Australian school I wore black leather shoes with a yellow polo and dark blue shorts, my mother took a photo. I was handed a notice printed on pink paper with an egg border, notifying me of the date for thr easter hat parade. I didn't want to seem ignorant so I pretended to understand and when I took the note home my parents didn't understand, either. We took my uncle's top-hat and decorated it with pictures of jesus taken from google images and printed out on our old inkjet(lol). The next day I made some friends and they explained their hat designs - my mother didn't believe me when I told her that we were meant to attach chocolate to the hats. Maybe I'll find the photo of my year 6 easter hat parade and show you neets, it makes my heart feel warm when I think back to those days and the friends I had

Students don't wear shoes in NZ primary schools, or at least they didn't back then. There are almost no poisonous spiders or prickles and it's always temperate so there's no real reason to enforce shoe-wearing.

Of course we celebrated easter but easter hat parades are uniquely Australian and we didn't know wtf was going on, the note just told us the date of the parade, the time we'd be out of class so that parents could watch, and that there would be prizes for the best hat.

NZ has two good policies I know of:

2. Reducing foreign ownership of property.

>>48424

>I assume that's part of the reason.

A surprising good point. I was thinking more of argument around people wanting to buy new and fancy clothes that not all student can afford. I remember you can tell when a student is doing it tough because they wear the same shirt that becomes tattered/dulled/very protective of it or do not have the complete outfit I went through stages like this my high school experience didn't start well because I was never invited to introductory tour and had no clue where to go that didn't help as well.

>>48425

>Stops kids being picked on for not having brand name stuff.

There were all still signs when a kid was doing it tough at home. I understand the point but it can still be a something that becomes obvious when you know the signs.

I start with 1kg of meat, then I dice up 1 medium onion or two small onions, I add a bit of garlic, get them sauteing

Then once the meat is brown I add Pasta sauce and tinned diced tomatos, then simmer until at the consistancy you want

Remember Salt is very good in order to season properly and spice how ever you want, Paprika would go well as would a sort of Mexican spice mix for making Nachos, and if you're making Nachos or Tacos and the like Kidney Beans I add with the tinned tomatos and pasta sauce same with the spice, also that mexican mix goes well with rice

If it has good career potential and you are interested in the topic then it could be a good choice

 No.48581

>>48570

It depends on what you want to do as a career afterwards. If you are interested in the law, you would be better off doing a Law degree. The problem with this field is that is very competitive and hard to get experience. People are willing to do a longish unpaid internship to get references and experience to enter low-paying jobs. If you enjoy it and work your way, I can imagine you can make money, but there seems a lot of barriers to entry before reaching that point.

If you are not certain, you should start off with an Arts degree, as most of the first year classes are pretty easy from what I heard. Then you can find subjects that interest you and focus on them, which may be able to result in a credit in the degree program you transfer to not too far behind the main program it may be two or three subjects. The only problem of going to some specific degrees is specialised knowledge and pathway you must take, which may be harder when you haven't been to university, and it may kill your passion if you are not completely set on the degree. I have this happen a few times where people get caught under the heavy workload, and it kills their passion.

I transfer into a university program through college that taught a lot of useful academic skills with support provided in a small classroom environment. When I did go into my degree I felt more capable and in control, plus I received an equity scholarship for the college to cover all of the costs (almost the cost of the degree) from all the shit that happened during high school. It also meant I received a guaranteed place in university for higher ATAR course at the time when I got the low as GPA. You could probably just get into university through mature age students scheme.

Whatever you do, make sure you keep working casual and part-time jobs as your studying for work experience, references, etc. Another thing to bear in mind is the job prospects of your degree. Almost all degrees can be used for jobs that require any degree (like graduate entry government jobs) but some don't deliver more than that. It's not the worst thing in the world to work for a few years to decide what you want to study and sit on your ATAR score. If you want to do something a bit above your ATAR score than I think even a short TAFE degree can give you the grades necessary for graduate entry (double check on that yourself). Just from my own experience, science degrees are almost worthless unless you wanted to go onto post-graduate research but that's not a guarantee because of how competitive research funding is. Even though a Bachelor of Arts has the perception as a "basic degree" that leads nowhere, a lot of graduate job programs aren't specific on their degree requirement so don't think that's not an option. In my opinion, it's probably the best option for general post-graduate employment.

One mischievous idea I had was during it making a ton of posts on Gumtree etc. for cheap properties/rent so even more boomers and chinkys sell out at bargain prices.

You shouldn't at all, they took a risk and speculated. Those who have mortgages should have reasonably stable careers or be paying back small to modest amounts. I feel that CUBs have caused this and created a whole toxic culture that everything is too fucking expensive.

I was at an auction with a family member who wanted to buy lot of land that wasn't built upon after someone died with the rest of the family wanting to sell it.A family member bid and increased their bid with the desire to pay the higher price. At the end, they lost and the woman turns around and says I wish I didn't have to pay that much but my mum really likes the area. The land has remained vacant for six months as they don't have the money to build after overspending. The family member was willing to build a cheaper house on the property when it went beyond their original expectations. But still the woman just a rude bitch.

>>48642

>fuck them all, I can't even bear to hear any old person in this country complaining about how hard they have it

It's pretty much class warfare that probably wont be around when we get older to the current level. Australia has been a rich country to live in and I don't always by the narrative that people cannot afford their retirement. I can imagine their is a group of low income earning people that do need support. But there seems to a lot of extra fat the government refuses to cut in the budget for older Australians because they will lose votes. Both sides of politics are equally as bad as each other in this issue.

How boomers can skimp the asset test buy pooling all their assets into their $2.5M owner-occupier house and yet still claim the pension is a great rort, as are the franking credits they profit off in their self-managed super funds.

I have no issues with rich boomers looking out for their interests, it just disgusts me when they are always whinging about young people and the unemployed when pension and aged care spending is by far the biggest in addition to the sheer unsustainablility of the policies that the older demographic wants to support. It's not even like a lot will just pass the wealth down, the 50-70 age demographic is beyond selfish and will just suck as much up as they possible can to blow on worthless shit.

What I find most concerning is that because the boomer grey vote is so big, they as you correctly pointed out, can't be ignored by either party. All politicians will bend at the knee to satisfy their every whim no matter how expensive or socially/economically destructive.

Here's one from 2006

you think i was bad?you should see me now

i am a sinner but i wont repent,i dont know how

The devil the way, he guides me through the dark

He owns me; on my soul he’s left a mark

To protect me from death to keep my life

And kill the holy ones with the knife

For my deeds Satan will thank me

He will let me live, he will let me free

Oh God don’t humor me

Oh God just let me be

Oh God don’t judge me

Don’t judge me

For how I got this way

Oh God I can see

Oh God you won’t let me free

So God don’t judge me

Don’t judge me

For how I got this way

What’s this thought can I break through?

Lucifer’s trap to get to you

The deal is off I want out

I now know what darkness is about

He’s been taken advantage of me

But its ok cause now I can see

ive just opened my eyes

in time before my demise

oh God dont humor me

oh God just let me be

oh God dont judge me

dont judge me

for how i got this way

oh God i can see

oh God you wont let me free

so God dont judge me

dont judge me

for how i got this way

you think im bad you should’ve seen me before

pre-conversion, the hate my heart bore

ive changed my ways i know my faults

all my indiscretions are out of the vaults

no more trouble and no more strife

because of You i now love my life

my slate is now clean-judge me

Here's another one

now days that would be called fukkin roastiesREEE, that wasn't a term back then.

Those feelings I won’t feel no more

If I get up and walk through that door

Ill be gone ill be out of your hair

For now no more feelings I can’t bear

They come when a woman is in range

It isn’t pain it’s an element of strange

Im away from the girls

Im away from them all

Cause they are not needed

Cause they will lead to my fall

They’re the end of the world

They’re the end of our nation

That’s why I live by my self

In complete emancipation

Estrogen is not my friend

Hormones raging I can’t understand

Why women are needed for me to be a man

Im finally all I wanted to be

But now I open my eyes and I can see

What’s in my pants want a life as well

Even though it will be my personal hell

Unaware of the need to populate

Ide rather just masturbate

That way no need to exchange

Fluids that need to be rearranged

So a life is created entwine

Why make life, I already have mine

remember when we started

it seems so long ago

we said we'd always be together

and the love we had would never go

but now im filled with dissapointment

the loves gone or cant you see

the promise is broken and

whatever left is just a fantasy

your not my life anymore

our hopes have hit the floor

the tears are fake and i can bear

the crying, in fact i dont care

loves mistique is in the open

the romantic are not copin'

you sit and whisper "its not fair"

but its you fault that i dont care

things wouldnt have changed

if you had just been honest

wish you did your half and

i wouldve done what i promised

if you push too far and hard

im sure ill use agression

to state my point rather

than listen to your fake depression

your not my life anymore

our hopes have hit the floor

the tears are fake and i can bear

the crying, in fact i dont care

loves mistique is in the open

the romantic are not copin'

you sit and whisper "its not fair"

but its you fault that i dont care

look at me when i speak

the ground aint talkin to you

though it might aswell be

after all weve been through

thers nothing between us

our lives are full of contamination

from crimes against love and lust

its a mix up between love and infatuation

your not my life anymore

our hopes have hit the floor

the tears are fake and i can bear

If you go down port rd (maybe old port road) theres a man made river in between the lanes.

I think religion is as a way of externalising feels, as the drought is that killed all the farmer's crops (bad event) described as the cause of evil can make more sense to people who do not understand an event or have the power to prevent to it. This categorisation of events makes them more logical when the reason behind an event can be defined, and it provides a pathway that adopting more faithful views may prevent this from happening in the future. There is nothing wrong with this given that there are many things we do not know, but not being open to new possibilities of knowledge is ignorance. Even then I disagree with my view, as change is scary and not always accepted but your life will be limited if you are not willing to accept change. It has its purpose in our society. I am not the NEET you are responding just to be upfront. The view I have learned from Aboriginal people I have interacted with is that the land is sacred and must be respected to have a relationship that the land can supply to its people. The issue I see with farming when population begins to grow beyond the means that the land can supply is how are these views comfortable, as the land cannot respect when it’s completely cleared to grow food. It would have been interested to see how these views developed without the influence of other cultures if a viable food source could is grown on a bigger scale.

I think people are critical because of Aboriginals because their culture has stagnated as it lost its dominance in society. It was never going to compatible with Europeans who had a completely different mindset with the desire to grow stronger, considering how close the first fleet came to dying out with food shortages. A relationship between cultures was never and I doubt will ever be established, and a lot of bullshit is probably going to prevent this ever happening on both sides of the divide. Extremes on both sides of the debate do not help.

I'm also not the NEET you are replying to but I agree with this.

This semi-relates.. but not really.

I read that there were a few "farming" mobs (at least three) that were farming yams (I cant remember where and I've tried to look it up before again to give source when talking about this), they also had a mining type thing (not really mining, they were "mining" ochre for paint) but anyway.. The mobs nearby, rather than learn these skills basically killed them for what they had.

I was talking to one person who had heard this before and he said that the reason it is rarely mentioned is because it implies that the Aboriginals today are not of the agriculturalist mobs but of the mobs that killed them.

I did find a source once and I cant remember where it was, it didn't say about how they ended/stopped though.
