How do you (mentally) read 'ayy lmao'?
I read the 'ayy' as probably everybody does - a mashup of the ey/ay in 'hey'.
I read 'lmao' as 'luh' (a hard, short L) + 'mao' as in Mao Zedong's name.
ayy lmao and you???

>aaay as in hey without the 'h'
>lmao as "luh-mayo"
As a native Portuguese speaker I also used to read "lmao" as "limão", which is our word for lime (which we always mistake for lemon in English).

I'm certainly sure that the "l" in ayy lmao is silent in order to make it pronouncable, so it's pronounced as ayy mao. (a is pronounced az é)

Am i the only one who says "a laugh my ass off" as in just saying it in full

I mix it up with the alphabet all the time.
I say "ayy" as the letter A as most of you do, but when I get to "lmao" I accidentally pronounce "lmno" ("el em en oh") and have to stop myself from continuing with P.
