I just recently converted to Judaism from Islam and I've got to say I haven't felt this great in over 20 years. Islam is such a corrupt religion at it's core and I wish I had a way to convert my parents, but I'm afraid they'd try to hurt me if they found out I have been reading the Talmud.

I don't think they would kill me since we are living in the US as they probably fear persecution from the government/polices, but they might do something like disown me or try to beat me up and even get away with it because of freedom of religion.

My parents were always abusive to me even before they became Islamic, but I guess that's just part of growing up in Detroit. I'm living in New York now and living the dream I've always wanted.

I just need a way to tell my parents…
