If I buy a doughnut from a doughnut production plant then transfer it to a mall then sell it for $2 more than the combined cost of transferring and purchasing the doughnut, then there isn't $2 coming out of thin air, there's $2 of my time, even if that time isn't in actually transporting (say if I hire someone else), then the time is coming up with the idea, and managing and executing that idea.
I'd like you to give me an example of free money that isn't just you overlooking a cost. I don't think it's fair to classify certain things as costs when others can be classed as costs just as easily.
