the USA will never go to war with China so long as the economy is the reins in which the elite rule the proletariat.

If it happens, it will be based on either country painting the other as the enemy in order to maintain the status quo in their home country,

But both sides will have their elite, rich, maintain artificial neutrality by means of having the resources to escape every instance of conflict zones

China owns Africa and grows its economy beyond needing the US. US still dependent on Chinese products. Pax Americana falters. China annexes the South Sea and declares war on Taiwan. China successfully invades Taiwan. US sends a large "freedom of navigation" fleet through the South China Sea. That fleet is attacked and badly damaged. US attacks Chinese forces in Taiwan, Kalayaan, and the Spratley's with cruise missiles and aircraft. The US closes the economic border and impoises sanctions which hurt the US more than they hurt China. China attacks American infrastructure by activating sleeper commands in chips implanted in 70% of US cell phones. These chips are given instructions to DDOS various US government and industrial targets The entire US cell phone network fails, along with 80% of the public face of the federal government online. US industry is crippled via cyber attack but the damage isn't severe, most factories are up and running a week later after installing security patches. The US president calls up reserves and makes another "with us or against us" speech but Europe's support is lukewarm. Iran mines the Persian Gulf. India declares neutrality. Russia takes the opportunity to invade a neighbor or three. Europe starts to prepare for war but it's much too late. Brazil sends a token force to the Middle East with the US coalition and a much larger force to its own borders with Colombia and Argentina. Pakistan launches the first nuke. And then things really start to go south.

Being pragmatists, they realize that they could usher in a new Pax Soclialista, and enjoy the world as their collective spoils rather than mutually destroy each other. The Triumvirate would certainly have the power to enforce their Socialist will over the entire world. considering how many countries in the world are already pro-Socialist, bringing the rest into line will not be a huge challenge. This is not to say that there is no potential for eventual conflict because conflict is part of the fabric of humanity; however, so far cool heads have prevailed and there is good reason to trust that this will be the case in the Triumvirate's young future.

>The existing socialists and the newcomer have been pragmatic enough unitl now to avoid mutual conflagration. Being pragmatists, they realize that they could usher in a new Pax Soclialista, and enjoy the world as their collective spoils rather than mutually destroy each other.

Some kind of "Pax Soclialista" is possible but unlikely, because your "Triumvirate" is divided between (at least) two different groups, the western globalists and the (fragile) alliance between Russia and China. They can be both socialists and use the same tactics but are different elitist groups with the same objective, power and control. And believe me, they will never divide power. Take as example Ukraine and its "Yevromaidan", it was all planned and made by George Soros against Putin - and in this case a limited war happened. Talking about Soros, some years ago he threatened China, saying in other words, if they invade their neighbors he would use U.S to launch a war against them, but it's a matter of life or death to the Chinese Communist Party take and keep the control over the South China Sea to survive. As you can see there are so many very important conflicts of interest that some kind of " Pax Soclialista" is unlikely on the long run, especially when the US become weakened, their enemies won't let this opportunity scape. By the way, it doesn't make sense to invest much of your resources in nuclear weapons on aircraft carriers if you only want to control your people.

> The Triumvirate would certainly have the power to enforce their Socialist will over the entire world

Exactly! No matter what the winding road has in store for USA/China/Russia, America's days as a global empire are numbered. It would serve Americans well to stop prolonging the agony and accept their fate and come up with a strategy to transition into being #2 or #3.

However, America's embrace of socialism could be the catalyst that brings that fragile alliance together. It would be a convenient and very practical and quite profitable threesome. Historically, power and convenience has seen handshakes between far more estranged rivals.

In fact the history shows war is way more common than handshakes between rivals, and I'm not sure if only ideology is enough to stop what look likes a certain fate. Because when one great power threatens to displace another, war is almost always the result (The Thucydides Trap). As the Athenian historian Thucydides claimed: “It was the rise of Athens, and the fear that this inspired in Sparta, that made war inevitable.” In the past 500 years have seen 16 cases in which a rising power threatened to displace a ruling one. Twelve of these ended in war.

Never, for the same reason the Cold War remained cold. Wars only happen when someone can gain from it, China/US would have a lot to lose in a direct conflict (a lot as in everything). If other countries could stay out of the war it might be worth it for them, but then you have to consider the risk of so many nukes going off in a short period of time ruining the planet for everyone.

 No.8657969

Your complex fairy tale plays out only if every one of your several treacherous players plays nice and it remains a conventional war. We all know that is a moronic assumption. Once the first nuke is launched it's Game Over. With billions of people and a huge rural population devoid of a need for centralized food distribution, China has the best chance for long term survival as a culture. Stick to your online war games. I lived in Taipei, Beijing, Hong Kong. The Chinese people expect their military to execute a nuclear first strike once the threat of military loss becomes great enough. By then, Iran and Norko will also have nuclear capability. Not to mention the Mid East where any diversion of US military might will leave Israel vulnerable to attack. They may well be the ones to launch nukes first. In your tidy scenario you left out of the equation madness and escalation.

What you failed to figure in is that in modern times, war between superpowers has the added and likely spectre of mutual nuclear devastation. In no other period in your tidy little chart has this been the case and where it is the case, the sides have chosen either cold war or detente. In a future with a socialist USA, alliance is a convenient and compelling alternative to MAD. It is the logical and correct choice.

EU will increase sanctions and so will US. China will force themselves into trying to play passively but will have to play more and more aggressive due to first slip up. They will go into south china sea and start drilling for oil. US navy will intervene.

>what will the objective be

More power obviously. They have been on steady rise for quite a while so they don't need to be aggressive right now, they can spend their money on projects around the world and they don't really give a fuck, but steadily they have started to see the need for more covert and aggressive tactics in consolidating power. It is only understandable. Maybe some internal financial struggle and bubble waiting for them to burst is making them push in that direction I dunno.

>will you take part in it

There isn't really that much money in war unless you're a corporation that has a great lobby. I will take some part of it however, just like hyperinflation happening in the ol Venezuela.

But nevertheless, spectating is also a thrilling sport if you make bets with yourself and giggle like a little girly when they come true.

Yeah. ASSuming that a real war between superpowers will not escalate to a nuclear exchange is beyond fucking moronic. Not to mention the scenarios that predict that malicious factions in America's crazy culture will break into a multi-front civil war. Welcome Helter-Skelter! Only a cretin would imagine that there will be an America at the end of a WWIII.

You post your cutesy little maps and charts and look at history. History tells us that the last time superpowers were engaged in a global war…how did it end?? Fucking right BoBo…NUKES! Holy shit your are a fucking fool if you think an out and out war between modern superpowers will end any differently. In almost very war simulation scenario done by credible DOD advisors and think tanks, the end game is the same: BOOM, BYE-BYE! And if who is in charge, doesn't matter if chinese or american, think that he can win? In the perfect and logic world both your statement are absolutely correct, but you forgot one important point, the human factor, and that we live in the real world and in a imperfect reality with people brainwashed to the core, psychopaths and so on. For instance, once some chinese official said that China could win a war against U.S because in a WWIII scenario his country would lost "only" three hundred million people but would still remain with more than a billion. Imagine if this guy is in charge. Remember Mao? Nobody's knows the future, but you need to be naive and irresponsible to exclude the war possibility just because "everybody commie, no one wants MAD". Just the post nuke economic and social impact alone would likely trigger internal Helter Skelter of a degree that would be unimaginably horrific.

When Jethro sez he ain't worried, he and his wife got gunz and plenny food stored away. Here's what I tell him to bring him to the reality of what an internal civil shitstorm with the ensuing social meltdown and law of the jungle will be like:

"Me and my five sons, three of whom are combat trained war vets got guns too. Before we and our families starve to death, we kill you, take your food, and for good measure rape and kill your wife on our way out. (Oh…and now we got your guns, too, moron!) You still want WWIII, Jethro?"

Yeah. Obviously you have been through a nuclear war and speak from hard won experience. What a fucking shit-for-brains dick-headed fucking moron.

One of the most widely accepted studies was done for Congress by the OTA. The study hypothesized four nuclear war scenarios. Three of the four contemplated limited nuclear exchanges. The fourth considered a full-scale nuclear war. In the full-scale nuclear exchange, the nightmare scenario, immediate deaths in the United States could range from 70 million to 160 million (then that figure comprised 35 to 80 percent of the population) with Soviet deaths approximately 20 to 40 percent lower. Many more would die from injuries. OTA predicted that cancer-related deaths and psychological trauma would lead to an increase in deaths unprecedented in the other cases. That is just for the direct effects of the bombing. Societal breakdown would result in many more deaths. And this does not even take into account the results of a high-altitude bursts creating total electronic neutralizaton through EMP effects. Many of the necessities we use in the 21st century are predicated on electronics and their functioning, an EMP would disable hospitals, water treatment facilities, food storage facilities, and all electronic forms of communication. An EMP blast would impact the infrastructure which supports the very existence of the modern human living. Only a few effective EMP bursts would lead to large-scale loss of power for months or years. Currently, failures of the power grid are dealt with using support from the outside. In the event of an EMP attack, such support would not exist and all damaged components, devices, and electronics would need to be completely replaced.

Yeah, fucktard…No need to be concerned. Fucking idiot!

Indeed, China knew knew that every day that passed and every American sent home maimed or in a bag, the noose around the neck of the USA in Viet Nam tightened. China was rightly assured of Communist victory in Viet Nam. It was surely no surprise when America turned tail and fled Viet Nam like frightened school girl, leaving the VC to take over the whole country. >I can't in all good faith trust something that has been tampered with and used as a means of control in the past. Too many things have changed in that book but hey, you never know.

That's beside the point and irrelevant, anyway.

By comparison the USSR was terrified of the US, thinking that the US was going to "nuke them at any moment" and the USSR didn't nuke us, either. Also, there were over 150 false launch Alerts (Defcon 1, red) and the USSR still didn't launch nukes on us.

>China was rightly assured of Communist victory in Viet Nam.

That's completely incorrect. China had no idea if North Vietnam was going to win the war or not but felt NV had a good chance by the way they were conducting their side of the war.

>Why should China have contemplated using nuclear weapons? The war never spilled over to threaten China. No nukes needed: Conventional warfare was indeed sufficient to repel the cowardly imperialist invaders.

Again, you're incorrect. You either don't know, never read about or forgot how Nixon invaded Laos and, later, Cambodia, thus escalating the war and forcing a call for an extension of the draft to include the selection of 100,000 new draftees since it really was Nixon's intention to extend the war as much as possible. Only the intervention of General Westmorland and Henry Kissinger stopped it from going any further but had Nixon's plan not been stopped we definitely would have been at war with China within five years.

The PLA marched about 25 km into VN, captured LangSon Heights, Lang Son, Sa Pa and into Hanoi declaring the gates of Hanoi open. Once their punitive and demonstration of Soviet impotence was completed they retreated back into China. The prisoner count tells a lot: China had about 1600 VN prisoners to VN capturing about 250 Chinese. Hardly having one's shit kicked in. But dream on…

China proved their point and moved on.

Lots of words my friend.

Cutting to the chase:

With China's glorious assistance, the VC won and VN became Communist. It was inevitable. And China knew this. The Tet Offensive saw the sacrifice of many VN soldiers, but their sacrifice was well rewarded. America turned tail and fled because, predictably they could not stomach the cost of victory in spite of their jingoistic rhetoric.

In VN China and the VC saw and enjoyed the utter humiliation of the retreating USA imperialists. End of story.

Not ended…

Now Socialism is spreading in the hearts of USA youth and Gen X who see the evils of corporate greed and unbridled capitalism. Socialists have successfully infiltrated the USA education system for decades. These young people are now taking their place as leaders in the USA government and will continue to do so. Well done! Even the US President is hailing a Democratic-Soclialist to lead Venezuela. Viet Nam was China's test of patience. A people with millennia of history is immensely patient. With patience, China will one day welcome a new member into the socialist family. Welcome to your destiny USA. It has been long in coming but the people's river's flow was mighty and unstoppable.

They went in to stop the occupation of Cambodia and failed. They couldn't get further than the Northern part of Vietnam in spite of desiring to occupy more territory because they kept losing battle after battle.

Trump may yet get to erect his wall on the southern border, but whether the Democrats stiff competition holds him back or his project reaches fulfillment a war is a completely different matter. A war is the one inevitable way to unite the American people under whatever leadership it has at that moment.

You can make all the come-ons you want with your "People's" clap-trap, but everyone who is educated knows what China has isn't a case of Communism but a serious case of state corporatism. i.e. fascism. Either way good luck whoring out THAT philosophy to the educated and independent mind of the American voter. No lubrication will let that organ of thought past his defenses.

If you weren't filled with ideology you would read about the Paris Accord, which gave America everything it wanted if we had the balls to defend it. We didn't, but if we hadn't pulled out we would have gone down in history as the winners.

The DOD analysts and the Chinese contemporaneous documents of the day. other scholarly studies and even now Wikipedia, say the Chinese objective was to punish the gooks, make a point, and marginalize the Soviets. And additional but little known reason was to field test their military in actual battle conditions against a well seasoned and hardened force. They had great loses but achieved those objectives and then quickly departed.

I would give it up before you make all of us patriots look like fools. You can't win 'em all dude. And you can't win an argument that has so mcuh credible evidence to the contrary. The US objective was to stop the Communists/VC from taking over and to liberate Viet Nam. The US did not achieve that objective. While the Domino Theory justification for the US involvement has not proven credibly valid in the case of Viet Nam, in the end the USA (like the French before them) failed to defeat the Communist forces and the country did eventually become a completely Communist ruled country. Sadly, it was a huge humiliation for the US. The Paris Accord did nothing to change that unfortunate outcome in regard to the Communist takeover or remove the humiliation. It stands in historical record. Viet Nam was unified under Communism and remains so today.

Even today some U.S vets. claim victory over the Vietnam because they never lost a single battle there. The chink argument is the exactly same thing " we failled in protect our ally Khmer Rouge in Cambodia but we made a point to the soviets, so we win"

If the U.S was not capable to defeat the commies in Vietnam, the Chinese also failed in defend their allies in Cambodia. So, both failed to secure the real objective, those who really mattered, and lost their war against the based vietcongs, but the pride make it hard to accept.

Hollow claims of victory aside the Communists prevailed.

The ones who claim "The USA Won!" sound like our nutty deluded DC politicians. No matter how bitter the defeat, they claim they won.

Others deflect to claim the other side lost too in spite of fact that the other side's flag flies over the former political battlefield. The same applies to Viet nam and claims of US victory. Silly bullshit.

Again: Hollow claims of victory aside the Communists prevailed.

In any case: if the USA never lost a battle they would have easily beaten the commies in a very short time. History proves the hollow boasts totally wrong.

See:

DaNang

Dragons Jaw

An Ninh

Landing Zone Albany (particularly gruesome)

Qui Nhon

Ap Bac

Ia Drang

..to name but a few of many battles in which US forces in Viet Nam suffered defeat.

If any US vets who claim they never lost a battle had been at LZ Albany on Nov. 17, 1965, those survivors would be singing a different tune. The mighty 7th Cavalry was nearly obliterated. There were about 400 soldiers in the battalion, 70 percent were KIA or wounded. The defeat was so bad that the US military tried to downplay it in the press of the day. It became known as the "Forgotten Battle".

The Communist flag flies over all of Viet Nam today.

Regardless of the battles won or lost, the commies won the entire country. Not any reason to boast in my book.

Only idiots, moron, fucktards, imbeciles, autists, and their inbred relatives, would actually frame a war pitting China against the USA in terms of who "wins". Once the first missile is launched, everybody loses. Make no mistake, in every scenario played out by military experts, the Pentagon, think tanks, scholars, and people with knowledge about war, one outcome is common to all: once either side felt sufficiently threatened with defeat in a conventional global warfare setting, the idea of no "first strike" goes out the window. Just to eliminate you children and your pissing match. This from a group of well informed seasoned experts on whose advice even Congress and the President relies:

The panel providing the report is the National Defense Strategy Commission, and is made up of 12 former national security officials and

experts. Individually and collectively many of the NDSC members have advised the DOD, Pentagon, Congress, politicians, and presidents. The National Defense Strategy Commission (NDSC) is a obsessionally mandated panel charged with examining and making recommendations with respect to the U.S. national defense strategy. It was tasked with evaluating the nation's defenses, and reviewing the National Defense Strategy, a comprehensive planning document by the Defense Department that lays out military objectives.

The NDSC's stark conclusion: America could lose the next war it fights.

Synopsis and Excerpts:

U.S. military might "struggle to win, or perhaps lose" war with China or Russia, the Commission reports.

America's military edge is diminished, and in some cases erased – just as rival countries are getting savvier, stronger and more aggressive,

according to a new analysis by a panel of former security officials and military experts. The stark conclusion: America could lose the next war

it fights.

"America's ability to defend its allies, its partners and its own vital interests is increasingly in doubt.

"It might struggle to win, or perhaps lose, a war against China or Russia."

America's military edge is diminished, and in some cases erased – just as rival countries are getting savvier, stronger and more aggressive,

according to the NDSC analysis

"America's ability to defend its allies, its partners and its own vital interests is increasingly in doubt," the report's authors wrote. "It might

struggle to win, or perhaps lose, a war against China or Russia."

"Russia and China are challenging the United States, its allies and its partners on a far greater scale than has any adversary since the Cold

War's end," the authors wrote. "If the United States had to fight Russia in a Baltic contingency or China in a war over Taiwan," the report

warnes.

"Americans could face a decisive military defeat."

"Providing For The Common Defence, their report, claimed the US was in the grip of a “full-blown national security crisis” because “the

number and geographic diversity of security challenges, the technical sophistication of US rivals and adversaries, and other factors, mean that

America’s military capabilities are insufficient to address the growing dangers the country faces”.

There is more…
