Every fucking time I hide a thread and refresh/access the board a little while later, I find all threads unhidden. This happened on several boards so I'm guessing it's just shitty coding on 8chan's part...
Still, I don't always stay at home and tend to visit 8chan while outside my house where people may see what I'm doing, which makes NSFW boards a no-go. Of course to someone like you this is not enough reason to put in the effort of enforcing an extra rule, but that's frankly the way it is. I reckon any other anons in school/college will agree.

I don't recall regular 8chan users having the ability to moderate boards and delete spam. The only one capable of actually "looking after" any board is its BO, along with his Volunteers (if he chooses any).
