It's peculiar that he refers to him in third person, but still a relevant formulation. We also hear him referring to himself in the third person

So by CIA asking Bane if getting caught was part of his plan, it was actually an intentional memory jog to make sure Bane would get Dr. Pavel to the Agean Sea by transferring him mid-flight. Surely CIA knows something we don't that would make him fake his own death for the sake of the flight plan.
