I'm somewhat uncomfortable with baneposting being called a meme. Memes tend to have a very short life cycle that is best measured in days, or weeks in exceptional cases.

Baneposting is not only extremely long lived (and shows no real sign of weakening), it is very tightly connected to reality (ZS-NVB and 4U4595 spring to mind).
