There is a descending order of canon. The Plane Scene is the pinnacle, but that doesn't mean that other sources can't supplement our knowledge and understanding of the scene, provided they are of worthwhile and reliable source. But only where they are not contradicted by other account of higher canonical authenticity.

I believe the order is:

#1: The Plane Scene

#2: The Script

#3: Supplemental notation

(comments from Bravo Nolan, Tom Hardy, Aidan Gillen, etc)

#4: The Official Comic Novelization

#5: The After Credit Scene

(only the scenes featuring Plane Scene official characters, there was a lot of weird batman fanfiction thrown in after they decided to put batman in a few of the official Bane Scenes)

#6: Anything else of merit

I could be forgetting something or putting one or two in the wrong order though.

The novelization of the plane scene is the closest thing we have to direct insight into the character's thoughts. It's got a lot of (as far as I've seen) untapped potential. While some of it is disregard-able because of obvious contradictions, analysing it could be interesting.
