Hol' up!

If that giant piece of fan fiction after the plane scene is to be believed, then there is a big plot hole.

What happened to the Masketta Man?

Was it ever confirmed he was killed? Maybe it was part of Bane's plan all along for him to survive and to make sure that the fire rises in the event of failure?

He slipped and "died", but it's obviously a ruse so he could get away from that worthless bitch.

>He slipped and "died"

He is clearly taking cover brother!

Could Masketta actually be the real Bane? The "Bane" we see is nothing but a ruse to keep everyone occupied while Masketta completes the true plan?

He finally realized that it was the perfect time to fake his death and run away.

Does that mean that Masketta wasn't a Hired Gun since he didn't have a lot of loyalty, or was he merely following the backup in the off chance that Bane's master plan failed and he'd have to take on the mantle and rise the fire?

 No.107016

>>107015

Hired guns have a much lower standard of loyalty. Fleeing after taking a little fire shows Masketta in fact has a lot by comparison.

He was loyal to Bane, not to Talia. She was a Big Girl, but Masketta's loyalty is to the Big Guy.

>>106978

>worthless bitch

>helps with the plan to raise the fire by detonating the bomb

>assumes a false identity, or in other words, wears a mask

>crashes a truck, then, when she realizes she is crashing, makes sure she dies so that there are no survivors

>retains a cool head

Prove me wrong, brother.

But yeah, he was clearly faking his death. Remember, there is always a master plan.

Wasn't Bane working for Masketta in the first place?

>they work for the mercenary, the Masketta man

You can clearly see this is another Phil Collins body double with Masketta's blood. Masketta lives.

Bane is Alfred, you should know that. But if Alfred is only a fake Bane, who believes that he's the real deal, then the story is even more complicated than what we see in MGSV.

Not to mention that in the beginning of the Plane Scene CIA gives that dream machine from Inception to Masketta, so the whole after credits scene could be just a dream.

This. The Masketta Man is truly the most interesting character in the scene, and also in the post-credits sequence. Even what little dialogue he has is truly deep. For example, his most famous line of dialogue has at least 3 possible meanings/interpretations

>They work for the mercenary, The Masketta Man.

He is the mercenary, and Bane and the hired guns work for him. This would make him the true mastermind. This is my personal interpretation.

>"They work for the mercenary." -The Masketta Man

He is quoting himself, but who is the mercenary? Is it him or Bane?

>They work for the mercenary, the masked man.

If this is correct, Bane must be the mercenary then. But then again, it's possible that Masketta is still talking about himself. For example, he might be referring to a metaphorical "mask of deception" that he used on CIA to get him to take Bane. And it might be a double entendre where "the masked man" = "The Masketta Man". He might be implying that The Masketta Man IS the masked man. This interpretation of his famous quote is obviously very deep. There are countless other interpretations as well.

I could write a book about The Masketta Man if I wanted to.

It's funny. Symbolically, Alfred and Bane play the same role for each of their respective, vengeance-seeking ward and in each case they were the parental figure for each as well.
