We're scientists.
You think we autistically overanalyze every facet of The Plane Scene for fun? Because we have no idea what we're doing?
We do it because the influence of this meme, /bane/'s rank, the plane crashes are a reproducible, testable, incredibly powerful natural phenomenon. One that we've barely scratched the surface of:
-What happens if /bane/ actually rises to #1? Does it break the meme magic or only make it permanent?
-It seemed over the last week or so that crashes quickly got worse and more frequent the longer we dropped out of the top 25. Would that continue if we drop out of the top 25 permanently?
-The incredible power of this meme has in many places already mixed with Trump, the meme candidate. Will that result in a plane crash for him? For his opponent?
-Can Baneposting help aviation safety? Are planes safe from meme magic if, say, they have briefcases on board, handed off from mysterious men?
Calculus and gravity were discovered by an autist toiling away. Radiation was discovered by leaving some rocks in a drawer. Ultimately no detail is too small or question too obscure or approach too unorthodox in our quest to understand Baneposting.
Remember that the next time you decide not to post here.
