I'm pretty sure that most Asian languages use the Latin alphabet in such a way that the spelling and the pronunciation is relatively close. E.g. Japanese, they may have some fucking around with the u, but you can mostly guess how a word is pronounced if you see it written in romaji
So either their family name isn't spelled as Damare, or Masketta doesn't give a fuck about how it's actually pronounced. Still, why would someone from Eastern Europe pronounce Damare as if it was an English name, when it's Asian?
